While I see your point, I feel like it would be something akin to a rock slide...except it would all be sliding down into the ocean, and the starting point would be the fault.

I could see it happening, but I imagine it's unlikely.

I'm not sure how Vegas would fare seismologically (yeah, I just made that word up, so fight me lol), but I feel like the bigger issue might be the influx of population from those fleeing ground zero.
