If you think that this is just limited to the USA, you aren't seeing the whole picture.

The problem is, at least in the current climate of politics, logic is not rewarded, but is met with hate and anger and whataboutisms that bastardize what should be intelligent discussions. And the more logic that some of us choose to use, the angrier people become, deploying logical fallacy after fallacy to try and sound intelligent.

The new norm is that most people speak in paralogisms, and if you counter their arguments with actual logic and facts, you get "shouted" down and called names.

Public service announcement: Just because something sounds logical doesn't mean that it is.

Remove Government interference from all aspects of life and allow people the freedom to make their own choices and take responsibility for their own lives. Ultimately we should be able to live our lives free from MOST government meddling and manipulation.

Live and let live, mind your own business, if someone is doing something that you don't like but not hurting anyone then just leave them alone. Accept the fact that we are all the same and should want our country to thrive. Be open minded to ideas that you don't agree with, look at things from all sides.
Just some of my ideas. I know that it won't happen because to many people cant do any of these things.....pretty sad really.

I think it more or less a lack of discipline, and that they shut down the school of hard knocks.

The problem there is that many people do not want this freedom, and look to someone else to decide for them now. That seems to give them the lack of accountability and conveniently removes their self-responsibility. It gives them somewhere to point when things go bad for them, since they didn't make the decision.


IMO, it is a deeply retarded (I use that word for the actual definition of slows down, limits, retards) thought process. They call themselves progressive, yet that is far from how they act.

It is logical that one 'grows up' and eventually takes responsibility for their own life. Those that don't want to grow up are children looking for someone to make their decisions for them and to take care of them. It is sad that this is what people want over their own personal liberty.

Logic is not the end all, be all way to solve problems.

You can easily have situations where there are logical arguments on all sides of an argument, but you then have to make a decision.
