Not so much conspiracy here. just crazy Russians.

The alleged attack was said to be the result of an argument between the two over Beloguzov's habit of spoiling the endings of books that he'd read from the remote outpost’s library.

Although he faces criminal charges in the Russian city, Savitsky will probably have access to plenty of books that Beloguzov hasn’t already read.

The Russian news agency Interfax reported that Savitsky "surrendered on his own and without resistance to the station manager."

Some people just want to explain the book to you for some reason. My mother is one of those people. She will recommend a book, then starts to tell me the plot, and asks me if I want to know what happens....I say no, then she proceeds to tell me anyway.
edit on pm1111201818America/Chicago01p07pm by annoyedpharmacist because: (no reason given)

Because it's not about the outcome as much as the journey for me.

My mom is the same way. She was telling me about some book that some woman named Hillary something something. She said it was the Russians. Ruined the book for me.

Some people get very angry when you spoil the ending of a book.

Likely cover story. I bet it really involved a husky and some unsavory nasty thawed from the ice after millions of years. C'mon. Antarctica.
We all know this will end badly.
Prepare the flamethrowers.
And the bourbon.

Could be worse - one of these people who tears off the last page of a book.

Scientists can be so weird sometimes, they can be obsessive compulsive and if they have conflicting opinions things get ugly.

Genius is just one step from insanity. Being sent up to that cold ass area out in the middle of nowhere will drive anyone loony.
