A part of me hopes the democrats win back the House.

It will remind people how out of touch, how authoritarian, how moronic the left has become.

Democrats keep saying Women are getting ahead more than ever.

Yet they say Women are being suppressed 😆

Can't stand her. But if we fail in our duty to vote then she will be holding a gavel in a few short months and holding the reigns (at least partially) on Congress' power of the purse. Thing is, she can try to throw away as much money as she wants to: no law on the books says the Executive branch (where all those ABC, XYZ federal agencies' money goes to) has to actually cash the check.

The Executive could simply hold onto the check without cashing it, or promptly return it DEPOSIT ONLY to the United States Treasury.

A part of me does as well.

It will only expedite the realization of tyranny by the average American, at which point history has shown real meaningful change is likely to come about. And then (and only then) will the average 9-5 American be so burdened as to be willing to discard their normalcy bias in the interest of Freedom, Liberty and God-fearing Justice.

Until then, all we can really do is do our duty by voting and making sure to continue advocating (as so many of us righties do on a daily basis) for a return to Constitutional order and Constitutionally permissible government

I am keeping my fingers crossed it is just propaganda (like the 2016 polls were designed to disenfranchise our voters) and that conservative voters realize how important controlling the House Majority (and all of congress) really is to our agenda

Of course our SCOTUS majority all but ensures the furthest left propositions of the "progressives" will be shut down in the courts. And of course, attempts to fundamentally alter our structure of Republican government would not be permissible under Article 4 Section 4 US Constitution (not that it would stop them!) But like you said it is absolutely imperative we retain control of both houses

I live in a Democratically controlled city. They passed a 30 dollar tire tax. They said it is to fix the roads. My question is ...........why did they put it in a slush fund? Whatever I have gotten for a tax cut from the Republicans is gone and then some.

In most places being 80 years old, deranged and senile would disqualify you.

The guy's name is Joseph Alcoff, and it looks like he's a very influential Democrat who basically wrote the new bill regulating payday lenders, and indeed appears to be a pal of Maxine Waters.

He also led an Antifa gang that assaulted 2 Hispanic marines while shouting slurs at them. He's the third member of that group to face assault charges.
