A few things though to note.

Firstly if he has done this is then for me it shouldn't change the course of the investigation, too much money to be wasted. If it is viewed as being credible then the investigate it promptly and replace him if its deemed to be credible.

Secondly, if this is going to be the level of evidence we are going to accsept before asking for a investigation and taking seriously then sorry, but lets be universal about this and stop pretending that Trump wasn't having affairs with porn-stars and sexually assaulting just about anyone who came into his personal space.

The accusations against Kavanaugh were ‘suspicious’ at best... The timing of the news was very suspicious. the evidence was terrible. I dont think he did anything wrong based on the public facts. I only decided during and after the hearings (circus).

I'm not 100% up to date with American news, but hasn't it already been established that women were offered money to lie about this guy assaulting them? As in they went to the FBI and reported it themselves?

That article seems to imply this was an attempt to get ahead of the claim of sexual assault. Guilty until innocent now. This might be the time to stand down staunch Conservatives and let the Progressive's way of doing things run it's course and see where this take them. The background story has fallen apart and she cannot possible claim anything like he raped her in NY in August of 2010 because he was not in NY at the time he was serving jury duty in Washington DC. Pretty hard to fight against that. You cant rape someone in NY when your in Washington DC.
