A recurring maths nightmare.

Flip I have this nightmare I'm back in school, and I'm due for the mathematics exam.

And I don't know anything ... as in nothing.

Been recurring, but lately in my dreams, I have creative ways of avoiding it.

Drink dish-washing liquid - make yourself sick.

One of several dream-like options.

You could copy your homework, but you can't copy your exam.

You bave PTSD. Here is a pill ....and some compensation.

Nowadays, I haven't even been checking the exam timetable, so the nightmare is not knowing when I should be there.

My gut-level interpretation:

There are things in your world that just don't "add up" and the answers are elusive.
It's "testing you" and causing you stress.
But avoiding them makes you feel "sick" (drinking the dishwashing liquid)

Is there something in particular that is weighing heavily on you? Also, can you remember anything specific about the math tests? And, dishwashing liquid... to cleanse. Is this worry related to a moral dilemma?

And, here's your exam question....

Three people check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 as a tip for himself. Each guest got $1 back, so now each guest only paid $9, bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. And $27 + $2 = $29 so, if the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?
