Oh my... just had to post about it.
So last night we're doing our regular 'let's find a scary movie we haven't seen' drill. Couldn't find one so we decided to watch Cabin in the Woods again. I forgot how funny that movie is! So funny and gross... It has to be one of my all time favorites! I love the guy who plays the stoner. Favorite line is when he's in the bedroom and finds the little camera in the broken lamp and says "Oh my god, I'm on a reality TV show" heehee! Seriously if you haven't seen this one please do yourself a favor and watch it!

"I'll never get the chance to see a Merman"
"Trust me, you're better off! They're terrifying!"

Good stuff. Check out 'Tucker and Dale vs Evil' if you haven't seen it. Good funny twist on the slasher genre.

Have to agree, Tucker and Dale was awesome! "This is a suicide pact!".

I'll have to watch that again, I really was impressed with it all. Thank you!

Also, another vote for, "Tucker and Dale"! That was a real breath of fresh air, I wish they'd make more movies like that.

One that I just re-watched was, Return of the Living Dead", my wife and I have seen it a few times, but it's one of those that I always come back to. I am not a big fan of zombie movies anymore (Thanks, Walking Dead, for ruining that for me!) but RotLD is a real, genuine classic!

Oh hell yes, Return of the Living Dead is one of my all time favorites. I think my friend and I must have watched that over 100 times back in the day. Enough that we could recite the entire movie line for line! Frank is still one of my favorite characters in the movie, and so is Tar man!

For my wife and I, Tarman and Frank were our favorite parts.

Thanks again for bringing this up, I was actually looking yesterday and this morning for stuff like this.

I was reading the other day that the guy that made RotLD was 'supposed to play Frank's role, but when 'Frank' came in for an interview he said that there was no way he could beat that, so the Frank we know got that job. I can't imagine another playing him either.

Evil Dead 2 or Exorcist

Both hilarious.

Here's a couple of good ones that deal with homicidal turds.

Two of my favorites aside from the obvious Shaun of the Dead:

Critters

Tremors

I have also enjoyed Lake Placid quite a bit too, but I'm not sure how horror it is strictly speaking. I've also heard that the old movie The Stuff is supposed to be pretty good, but I've never gotten to see it.

can't go wrong with Lost Boys
(but the sequel wasn't much)

original Fright Night.

what was that space vampire movie directed by Tobe Hooper? not bad but very long. Patrick Stewart was in it.

edit; Life Force.

I liked and still do....... An American Werewolf in London for semi-scary laughs. Good stuff.

Also Night of the Creeps "Thrill me. "

Evil Dead is one I've seen so many times. That was our goto back in the day. One of these days I'll get around to watching the Ash and the Evil Dead TV series.

American Werewolf in London is another I used to watch a lot.

Re the post above, the kids and I watched Rubber on Netflix one night. That was the strangest movie, lol. We laughed our asses off at the absurdity of it all.

Nightmare on Elm Street is probably my most fav though.

This is an under rated classic.

If you liked Tucker and Dale, and Cabin in the Woods, try The Knights of Badassdom.

Oh, you really should, if you liked the movies.
