What are your thoughts on it do you think it's the right thing to do, to stop an invading force? Or do you think regular leo's could handle it?

Maybe we could form a circle and sing Kum ba ya as they push their way through?????

I am confused?
Whose job is it to protect the border from an invasion?

Do not be confused
The National Guard is there only for the State they are based in
US Military protects the country and the Constitution
Feel better and less confused ?
You should

"IMO the world needs to look elsewhere for its law enforcement muscle."

What laws have the US been enforcing overseas, exactly?

I do believe he's referring to the US thinking we and only we are the World Police.

We're not. Let others flesh out their own issues.

Constitution can be changed if the majority senate/house vote for it as far as I've read.
It seems to hold you back sometimes, have you seen how Australia does it? They rent holding camps in a foreign country, don't even let them on the mainland until their application is accepted.
The US seems to be a soft touch, like Germany was with the wave of migrants from Africa.

Yeah, that's because the government (democrats) are running low on victims..We will see what happens under Trumps direction.

If I was Trump I'd pull all your troops from Germany and get them on the border instead. It is the job of the military to defend a nations border from invaders.

Asylum seeker vs invader

It's a tricky one (speaking Constitutionally)

not really
one follows the laws, fills out the required paperwork and waits
the other breaks down fences and breaks our laws

very easy to identify

I was hoping the op would explain.
Op either cannot or will not.

IMO the CIC can send the military to the border to repel an invasion when he deems it necessary.
IMO it is a judgement call to be determined by the CIC.

Whatever laws the UN needs enforced.
I think the US funds like 28% of that crap.
We should let all the rest of you sort out your own issues.

I live on the southern Arizona border.

I've experienced the changes over the last 30 years.

It's different when you personally know people/families/businesses that are personally affected.

Both sides used to be able to go back and forth across the border without issue.

The intensity of being here now is sad and uncomfortable.

What level is it going to escalate to now?

The real problem is why they are leaving their homes -- not that they are coming.

Around 40,000 US troops kicking their heels in Germany alone, just deploy them at the border, it would save a fortune.
