I didn't vote for Trump because of Obama. I voted for Trump because he finally got up there and said what I observed to be true for at least the last 40 yrs. The American people have been getting screwed by our government (both Republicans and Democrats) and they have stacked the deck against us.

The moment I voted for Trump I knew exactly how African Americans must have felt when they voted for Obama. Finally, I had voted for someone who saw the world as I have seen it. Trump is not perfect by any stretch and sometimes I disagree with some things he says or does, for instance I don't see any need to increase military spending when we are $21 trillion in debt. However, there is nothing he could do or say that would keep me from voting for him, because in his not so eloquent way he stood up there and told the truth about how things were in this country.

As a side note, since I was in my 20's I wondered how is it possible that Japan can build cars in Japan and sell them to us cheaper and better than an American car. This was before there were Japanese car plants in this country. They have no natural resources to speak of. They live on an island on the other side of the world. They have a standard of living similar to our own, but yet after importing every raw material they need to make a car could make it car better, ship it across the face of the earth, and sell it for the same or less. That is what first made me realize that someone has stacked the deck against American industry.

Of for gods sake, get off the white nationalism.

It only makes people look stupid when they bring it up.

Classy way to call someone stupid.

I think everyone will get off the white nationalism when it stops. Simple as that. You have another solution?

Ah yes, "White Nationalism" the left's new catcall for anything that goes against their views. Hint, it's falling on deaf ears outside the left.

The 300+ Black Conservatives that were just hosted at the Whitehouse would refute that opinion.

Conservatives, and the GOP are not racist. How can they be when they are doing everything they can to SHOW the minority community that they WELCOME them in their ranks? They party that spearheaded Civil Rights, and ended slavery did not magically become racist. Although their adversaries constantly claim it to be so by claiming that the parties "switched" in the 60's. Which in and of itself is the most ridiculous thing to claim. That a party that fought tooth and nail for minorities to be treated equal would suddenly say "OK, we won. They have equal rights. let's all become racists now! Haha! FOOLED THEM!!"

More like LBJ got the Dems to HIDE their racism in pursuit of the votes they desperately needed. Remember the famous quote by him? The one where he used a racial slur to describe the black community, and how he would get them to vote Dem for the next 200 years? He was actually recorded in another conversation using the "N" word. He was a class A racist in the most direct definition of the word.

Black folk are waking up to the fact that the Dems have used them for votes, and have gotten nothing in return. NOTHING, except being kept under foot for the past 50+ years with just enough handouts to keep them dependent.

Your side is running scared, the wool has been pulled off the minorities eyes, and they are shaking off all the years of Dem programming.

Your house of cards has a mighty strong wind blowing on it right now, and it's about to fall.

I love it when people tell me what liberals, or women, or black people are thinking.

It saves me having to listen to what they say for themselves.

Good for you!

I'm not telling you what they think, I'm telling you what I see they are actually doing.

Obama is the reason why we have Trump.

He is an out of touch turd.
All he cares about is keeping his own butt out of trouble as he authorized the weponaziation of the intelligence community against his political opponent.
He will be remembered as a stain in the history of the United states.

from someone on the outside but has been interested in american politics and history since i could read,im finding it really sad how things are.
both sides are acting like petulant children, name calling, threats and changing facts to fit the narrative.
but i have to say i find it sad really how things have got, looking at this site alone i remember this site used to be a neutral place regarding politics, people agreed to disagree, i remember having debates with people on here and it would end with both metipholicaly shaking hands and agreeing to disagree, but its become more severe republican, and the name calling (from both sides) is sad, theres no debate just im right your wrong end of, no reasons, no evidence thats it.
the pro rump retoric is scary in a way, how people take what he says and switches to fit a pro trump narrative, if he sh!t on a sign with a picture of dying children on, people would cheer and find an excuse for it to be ok.
i dont like hilary believe me but trump and pro trumpers are scary in how they can not take a negivitve remark and just shout out phrases like liberal, social justice warrior or my all time favorite snow flake, how is a differing opinion wrong and something to be mocked , ok some hilary fans are embarrassing but from this week alone the pro trumpfollowers arent clean, and to be fair id rather have a gender fluid lesbian with purple armpit hair who used to be called jeff shouting and screaming than a pro trumper person blowing up or shooting people.
and with obama i dont agree with him either but its not like his entire time in the white house he had it plane sailing and people where kind to him, i remember a protest where they had dummys of hi being linched.
i think this all needs a reset and instead of name calling actually debate. yes people will have different ideas and be on the opposite end, ou know what happens when people all think the same or are forced to like one party, you get 1930/40s germany or soviet russia or ruled by an unelected inbred foreign family who believe they are better than you (remeber those guys you faught and won your freedom from them) and this is why as a child i always looked up to america for getting away from that so dont do it now

Why don't Obama shut the hell up.

He ain't president anymore.

Undermining a sitting one is tantamount to TREASON.

It's literally not at all.

Amazing how little the constitution and free speech matter to you when it's not your guy.

Absolute hypocrite.

As for the rest of this thread, all Donnie has done for two years is cry and whine on Twitter when someone calls him a mean name.

Oh and attend self-aggrandizing rallies in R-lock states.

And before anyone says "But but but, 90% of press coverage is negative about him!!"

He's president. He should have a thicker skin, play less golf, watch less fox, cry less and do his job like a mature adult.

I still can't believe you're all so comfortable with his significant tax cut primarily benefiting the 1%, with most of it being used for stock buy-backs. And that's fact, observable by anyone with the slightest understanding of economics.

You should be furious. But you eat it all up.

Yeah, our country is really a #show right now. Ever since the 2016 elections and the months leading up to them, it's been nothing but hatred from one party to the other. It's ridiculous, and I don't see it getting any better. Honestly, we're probably stuck this way until another country manhandles us.

If you think about it, how could voting and more elections really fix things? You get a democrat in there, rednecks, nationalists, and bible-thumpers will flip their lids. You get a republican and extremist liberals, socialists, and SJWs will go berserk. It's literally a lose-lose, and the two main parties (and the billionaires and corporations that fund them) refuse to let 3rd party or centrist candidates run for the presidency.

And what's worse? The media...the party leaders are the ones who are fueling this fire of hatred between parties. They want it this way. Well they got it this way.

It's just never going to be fixed until something off-the-wall happens.

2016?

You think THAT'S when it started?

It actually started in 2000 When Bush got elected over Gore.
