Personally I think it's much more simple, cowboys vs academics.
On the one side "racist, mysogynist [contemptous]" on the other side intellectual, pc and decent.
Like you see it here on ATS, Americans first only American opinion counts for some and open for debate and welcoming all opinions for others.
That's why I have a big issue with his supporters, even though Trump is by far not as bad as he is received. He is funny, not in purpose but he is like breathing satire.
Have you noticed he is less orange since he is in office? Haha

But your perspective is tainted with ignorance. Cowboys vs Academics.

Sorry, but this extends much farther than that and it involves much more than brain pans.

Cowboys aren't racist and academics have their shortcomings, so the broadstroke is useless here.

Infact, your post just doesn't make sense, it doesn't do anything but present a garbled pov.

I was quoting from the OP. It's okay if that geek dude says it because you feel flattered but if someone points out what he actually said you get in attack mode.
Awww sorry to hurt your feelings but it's the same as what the OP stated. Just more blunt.

I personally do not like Donald Trump, but I support him 100%.

Part of the reason that I support him 100% is that I do agree with his policies, positions and tactics.

In a way, that's Donald Trump. I ain't crazy about him, but if supporting him can piss off a bunch of snowflake soyboys, trannies and dykes, YAY!

(Heartfealt apologies to any snowflakes, soyboys, trannies or dykes that I may have offended there.)

This post is a perfect example of the kind of people who support Trump. They like Trump for the very reason most of us Don’t like Trump:

One reason that people dislike the president is that he expresses racism and misogyny and contempt for other groups of people, and that turns off a lot—

No, they should not have come at all.

And yes, these are not the poorest of the poor.

Everyone of them is paying human traffickers or the mafia thousands to come.
The latest clothes, smart-phones and hairstyles.
They are not poor.
They are richer than most US citizens.

But ultimately they are being exploited, and so are the European people.

This entire racket must stop.

This is what most Germans couldn't understand.

These people are supposed to be "refugees".
But 90 percent are all men (highly homophobic), and they wear designer clothes even locals cannot afford.

It's a scam, and the only goal is population replacement.

But fine, Europe has seen that now.
Collect money others worked for and then go for a holiday back in their "war-zones".

Meanwhile German pensioners eating from dumpsters.

Yeah the Europeans were very naive.

But no longer - they caught a wake up.

Nope, this is a terrible resume of why people dont like trump, sorry. It seems to exist simply to allow trump fans to feel superior.

The real reasons are much more varied and complex.

Why don't you talk straight?
If you're a socialist, just say it.

Why do you think there was a cult status almost admiration for Putin during the Obama presidency? Russia is not our friend, but people recognized someone who was putting his own country first before the interests of globalism and was strong about it even if he wasn't doing it in ways we necessarily liked.

That plays into the myth and stereotype that left-leaning people are educated mostly and so more intelligent (somehow) and that right-leaning people are uneducated and so less intelligent.

It's insulting in its basic premise.

It's also proven wrong in my personal experience.

I only ever hear it from the uneducated or unintelligent about the "other side" from within the left-leaning in their extreme.

They remind me of the dumb from within the right.

The common ground that both groups of dumb, but self-aggrandizing stupid people share is their high emotions and self-importance.

There are no schools in rural areas or fewer schools? So they are less intelligent because they have less opportunity for education?

Does your argument and filter about rural intelligence as valued by its level of education hold water when applied to rural communities from Europe, Asia, or anywhere else for that matter?

Do we have dumber "country folk" as a whole in this country, that are actually less intelligent than other humans because of an environment, culture, or customs?

in your opinion of course,

or more ignorant (and arrogant) urban centers that judge their rural counterparts so as to constantly prop up their own sides value to society?

Dumbed down urban centers....calling others stupid.

That's my opinion.

Fun and games - throw some teddy bear to show how liberal you are!

But eventually your housing, trains, your roads, your basic water - how long will it hold?

Yeah, wait until it runs short, because your ancestors never built it for the entire world.

Wait until you can't open a tap or flush the toilet.

Or the electricity goes dark ...

Wait for the xenophobia, when locals attack newcomers.

The nightmare is only starting.

Resources are not limitless.

I've said that several times on ATS by now, less education doesn't equal dumb for me. I was just rephrasing what the dude from the OP said, honestly.

Truth is that both sides have their ignorant and uneducated. For every trailer park and backwoods holler, you have your big city urban wasteland full of folks waiting for their Obama phones.

The problem is when you simply define large swaths of people as stupid because they don't think exactly the same as you do and that's the trap we've fallen into. A lot of academics and self-appointed elites who mistake private schooling for superiority in all things have decided their opinions are gospel as a result.

Some of them are very smart, but most are no smarter or dumber than any of the rest of us.

If he wasn't such a loathsome little nerk it would be easier to like him but as it is he has few redeeming qualities , he feeds off negativity and uses it to solidify his base supporters so he'd be lost without it which is why he seeks it at any opportunity.

Weak leaders need enemies.

Absolutely it is. I work for a business psych firm (myself, had no college, but still managed a 95th percentile using the highest, Executive, norms on verbal reasoning tests) and some of the stupidest people have come through our doors, college educated with Masters or even Ph.D.'s that score abysmally low on the testing.
The premise of intelligence along party lines is fallacious and divisive, and needs to be discarded as an argument.

Thing is less about how much you like him as a person and more about how effective he is at his job.

NO ONE really liked Winston Churchill, but he was damn effective at what he did. Very few are going to argue that today. Of course, SJWs will try to argue that he was a horrible racist and shame you for bringing up what an effective leader he was, but their option was Hitler at the time.

what if the moon were made of green cheese?
the ridiculous things you people come up with are hilarious!

We elected him, he isn't going anywhere. The stunts being pulled will ensure his re election. Keep it up, another 4 years of America first policy would be great for my country.

I don't know him as a person but as a President I find him lacking in what it takes for him to be an effective leader , personally I think he's doing a bad job but other than the threat of impending radiation sores that does't bother me because he's not my President.

Winston Churchill was a man of his time with beliefs of his time , I doubt we would have won the war without him.

Trump is silly-Billy.

OK, let this caravan of 7000 people so far pass (nobody knows who they are).

Next week 100 000, and then a million every week.

You are actively going to vote for giving away your own county.

So thick, yeah you probably will.
