I believe that your consumption of pornography has altered your neuro-pathways thereby affecting your ability to think logically.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was awesome

I dont watch pornography. I get the real thing from my wife. Why get consumed by fantasyland when you can have the real thing with an actual human being that cares about you.

This is a common statement, in 99% of cases (anecdotal) the speaker is a porn user

Most humans watch porn for obvious reasons.

Hey...it is just like watching the Nature Channel...in this case the interaction between two or more people, sometimes solo, and sometimes in ways we would not even know! But obviously most humans watch porn to gain knowledge of different positions used for intercourse and sometimes foreplay
I mean, who wouldn't want to feel God-like in the bedroom?

Here is another reason why porn is not good for you

Im 22 and can hardly achieve a full erection, and I completely blame PORN.

A comment on the page from the video I posted.
Like any drug the dose needs uping..........the images/videos have to be more and more extreme to achieve satisfaction.
Maybe this is why child porn happens??

Children, animals and adults are being abused just so you can get your rocks off..........but then it is not all fun is it....the shame is what is the most damaging.

Funny...all i ever watched for 20 yrs is straight porn. i see a naked woman i get excited. So maybe im not average huh?

Who here remembers when you had to sneak off with the Sears catalog or an issue of National Geographic? That was pretty tame compared to what you can get on the internet these days without even trying very hard.

It's all relative.

Well, I've been featured in two productions ... if that counts!?

Dunno if they were ever distributed, though, and I'm not sure the old perv who taped us was actually with a production company or not.

As to porn ... and drugs, and food and anything that engages our dopamine production, moderation is the key! Rise above our animal inclinations towards mindless repetition.

its poison for the soul and the marriage.

Two distinct things to point out here, from a woman who's been with the same guy for 14 years & married to him for 12.

One: An addictive personalty is an addictive personality. If it's not a porn addiction, then it's a gaming/gambling addiction, or a food addiction, or an extreme sport addiction, etc to get the same endorphin high. Know who you're bumping uglies with and proceed accordingly.

Two: if you can't figure out why a non-addictive personality likes their porn more than you, the problem is probably you. Just being blunt here, I've seen this a few times in proverbial school marm friends. The problem really was THEM, not the husbands. Not my fault if someone's a boring/s#y/etc personality not doing it for the other half & the other half retreats to fantasy to get a rise.

Now granted, with that one, it's always kinder to just say "Hey Ethel, you're not doing it for me in some manner or another, how about we get counseling/split up?" But sometimes it just doesn't happen. In my friends' cases, the husbands didn't speak up about being unhappy because it would have lead to more unhappiness & eventual blame. Which it eventually did in the end anyway, it's just a way of forestalling the inevitable that they don't want to face yet. That's more of a damned if you do, damned if you don't outcome either way.

For the rest of us normies, porn's awesome. Not a damn thing wrong with being a voyeur to willing participants on video, it's human nature to get hot & bothered watching other people grind. Some people go the extra mile and prefer it in person, but most are less than comfortable with the concept -- I'll stick with vids.

It also goes against God. Its also fake and gross.

If god made sex gross & wrong, he's a true f# up beyond your ability to ever recognize.

Its not necessary. Believe it or not there were people living happily on the planet before internet porn exhisted.

Erotica's always been here. Plenty of proof of that in ancient frescos and decorated pottery from all over the globe, and hell, the Sumerians were real good at their depictions.

Like any self indulgent drug it will destroy your live. It degenerate the act of love and creation and turns it into self indulgent, animalistic, lust driven self degridation.

Exactly when can I expect my life to crumble into ruins, according to your black and white outlook?

I dont do drugs, drink, or own a cell phone either though.... just how I have always been.

Hey man, just because you exist as a dull lump of flesh & bone doesn't mean the rest of us want to. Sometimes, it's definitely ok to enjoy yourself for the sake of enjoyment, so long as it hurts no one.

Your OP is horrible.

First, your source is an entire site that is anti-pornography, in a weird, inexplicable way that I don't want to spend the time digging into.

And the worst, the last part of that quote, refers to a study on addiction, those already addicted to pornography and demonstrate a pathology, have those characteristics, not that it causes it.

Here is another comment because it is obvious you never bothered looking at the video or any of the comments posted on the page.

Porn IS poison. Especially for a young straight male, who's first sexual experiences are with a computer. When I started watching porn it was such a rush. I loved it. I looked forward to it while I was at school. But, I also loved women. I was not the type who got a bunch of girls in high school. I envied them as they hung off the arms of guys who were in better shape and skinnier than me. So I developed a sense of humor so I could get SOME attention. When I got out of highschool, was when I started catching the attention of women. Being 18, I had been watching porn obsessively for years at this point, but I finally got a girlfriend who I found attractive AND wanted to have sex with me. BUT, since I had been watching so much porn, when I finally got into bed with my girlfriend, she didn't turn me on. I couldn't get fully hard and I didn't feel a rush. At all. I didn't enjoy it. I thought maybe I was gay. But I like tits. I like ass. I like women. Etc. I # you not, I have had to heal from my early porn exploits. And it has taken years.

Women who should have been good enough, who were very attractive and sexy, were not good enough.

Oh and the comment got 654 thumbs up and no thumbs down.

Porn? Or maybe more the truth, that they are overweight, have low testosterone, have diabetes, have high blood pressure, ect.

Do you say that from experience because that made you impotent? If so ....do not assume that is the same for the 654.
Porn these days imo should not be even called 'porn'................it is violent and abusive.

You know, I've been ogling porn since I was 11. Me and some of the other girls in the neighborhood used to leaf through a friend's parents' porn mags, and giggle like the naive kids we were over their videos (when mom & dad were at work, all bets were off. I don't think they ever caught on)

My husband started looking at it around roughly the same age. I'm 34, he's 47. Now about when is his impotence/my sexual dysfunction supposed to begin, considering we were early viewers? Neither one of us has ever had any trouble getting revved and ready to go.

If you can't get it up, it's not the porn's fault. The porn is just your crutch, not your cause. I would bet dollars to donuts these guys are probably very introverted, and probably had/have lower hormones than their peers did back then/do now. Blaming an innate personality type, and possibly hormones, on porn is a cop-out to tackling the real problems -- the ones within.

The pathway connections porn ruin in the brain for young developing brains are the stimulis connections, the extreme nature of porn according to a doc i watched years ago makes young developing brains unstimulated by normal female advances, only extreme sexual activity arouses these porn conditioned males and of course once actually aroused with actual females the tendancy to treat the females as conditioned through porn is of a extreme nature in effect disrespecting the females with unrealistic expectations.
So porn does change brain pathway connections for sure.
But rather than quell the masses it seems to me to rather do the opposite by fuelling gender unequality at the very least.
But just cause a person drives a car doesn't mean they shouldnt watch motor racing. It all boils down to being in control and respect for others no matter what the drug.

You make so many good points here and I appreciate your honesty. My husband is a porn addict and it has really ruined our life as far as I am concerned. It started out as just watching it once and awhile and ended with him totally consumed by it. It really did get to the point that he could only get stimulated with porn on. He was never a introverted, low hormone type of guy and enjoyed a great sex life before he became a porn addict. When the porn wasn't doing it, he went on to other things...

If I would have ever seen kids or animals on anything he watched I would have smashed his computer to hell.

Thats fine if both partners have a good/high sex drive but its when one is porn conditioned and the other is the boy/girl next door that the issues begin.
