Far as I'm concerned, there should be any translation. In America the language is English, If you move to this nation, learn the language. But then that's my two cents.

I am Half Spanish.

Nothing to be proud about in the culture. It's like any only ethnicity. Just very lazy which is why they never learned English, but want you instead to learn Spanish.

I would deport anyone with that mentality. Sorry.

Well that was a very arrogant thing to say. I speak Spanish often to those that are just learning English. First I ask them which they would prefer. You may be surprised how many say English.
As far as deporting them for not knowing a language......WOW

its an idiots 2 cents.

America is not the only country which adopted multiple languages.

considering America stole a third of the USA from mexico after they've established their official language, its apt to have Spanish as the second official language... like many many many countries do have multiple language systems because of their constituency America is one of them.

yoyre just regurgitating 'learn the language ' because 'america... like the talking heads on fox news, without realizing the history in why theres a second unofficial language.

When we had a huge influx of Italians, Polish and Germans, the U.S. never translated anything. It was the responsibility of the immigrants to learn the English language. After all, they immigrated to a country where English was the spoken language. I remember my Italian Grandparents always spoke broken English and my parents had to translate many conversations. Instructions were never written in the three languages, Italian, Polish and German.

Spanish is the only other language spoken by millions in the US. It makes no sense to translate for Latvian because there are a small number of speakers. In fact, the US is the second largest Spanish speaking country in the world. If you're going to translate for anything, Spanish makes the most sense.

Lol, nice try.
When was that breaking point of largest number of Spanish speakers?

Within last 20 years?

Wrong to cater to the majority for just being the majority.

Wrong to translate for the largest number of illegals as well.

No wonder why they dont respect our laws

If that were strictly the case, Spanish would have been already been ingrained and not added.

Spanish has ALWAYS been a part of the landscape in the US. It wasn't added; it was incorporated. Do you dispute the fact that Texas was Spanish territory? Do you dispute the fact that the Spanish were in California before whites? What's your problem here?

The fact we had to add translation and interpreters for Spanish in news reports, school, packaging, etc.

You know what people are referring to.

edit:

In Texas the Hispanic population increased from about 3 million to 10 million from 1980 to 2010.

Because the word is a big civilization game.
The more your language and religion is spread across the world, the more winning.

I know it's hard for people to see things that way, but it's a game and there is always a group wanting to take lead.

That is why muslims have been strategically placing themselves across the globe with zero will to integrate

An idiots 2 cents? Funny how I never called you names. But hey I'll take the high road and not return the favor. What set you off, my opinion that English should be the US' national language or that I think if you come here you should at least learn the language?

For not knowing and not wanting to learn it, yes. Too much of a burden on Tax payer to make more than 1 doc and everything in many languages. private sector can do that for you just fine. Sorry if that upset 24 of your homies.
