You know of course everyone would say a Cowboy could make a mean bbq.
However, I follow a couple of different chefs and shows, like Alton Brown, and Americas test
kitchens that use a more scientific approach.
I think it would be a much closer match than most would think.

Some of the absolute best recipes i've ever made were from Alton Brown. (sorry grandma!)

Just a quick aside: why would this, "naturally", be in the Mud Pit? We have an actual Debate forum. Also, putting it in the Mud Pit would end up ruining the spirit of the debate, as people would quickly devolve into what the Mud Pit is, an insult-slinging echo chamber. Not saying the debaters would do that, but it's guaranteed that other people would and destroy the actual debate by page 3, tops.

If you don't think they would do that, then why decide to host it in the Mud Pit as opposed to other, more rational, forums? Host it in a forum where T&C's are actually followed and the debaters have to stick with actual good arguments, and it would be infinitely more interesting.

My votes: Phage vs. TheRedneck on climate, or theanti vs. anyone in regards to American politics. Both would be great shows.

Just a little side note.

I think a really good debate is if we got two convicted individuals.... Wait for it....

Make them swap positions, see who can argue the other person's position better.

That is the true test of debate IMO, and honestly we have the other debates all the time. I'd like to see someone argue a different position to really test skill.

I'm going to say Phage and The Redneck debate the validity of "divining water". It's a topic I don't have enough information on to make a real decision on, and both seem to have firm beliefs on opposite sides. Plus the end result won't really damage anyone's reputation of feelings. (well, if Phage is wrong, he may be a sad panda, but he will get over it)

I would say that's more of a, "Running for the border" style debate.

Seeing Phage discuss with others. I'd say you could probably throw all of ATS at him and have a doozy of a thread.

For any potential future debate anyone may have against me, all I have to do is pull out the big guns and reply, "Nuh-uh. Your butt stinks".

Instant winner.
