The New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free
, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore
. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

I didn't say that. There's no reason why we can't develop a more flexible policy that benefits both Americans and migrants.
Don't disagree, but the migrant caravan are not coming to stand in line and wait for legal status.
Immigration policy should be based on what skills the country requires to further the good of all citizens.
That's why I have zero issue with legal immigration in my own country for the people we need. Builders, service industry workers, doctors, nurses. Can be anyone from any country as long as it is legal.
The caravan is coming, because of America's blood policies. We've kicked the can down the road long enough. Now we reap what we've sown.

BS. If that is the case then send em all to Congress. Reagan did a blanket amnesty way back when and what did Congress do to fix our immigration laws? NOTHING! Congress is responsible for this mess. D's and R's.
Send em all back. If they are willing to break our laws to come here illegally, they have already shown their disrespect for our rule of law. What other laws will they choose to disregard?

Sorry, but your problems with immigration pale in comparison to the US.
Got a bit of a friendly warning for you. Folks in the UK had best begin thinking of taking on their own Military Defense. The people inheriting the US will have no interest nor stomach to assist in defending the UK. And a great many of them are anti-Colonialist and as a result are down right hostile to the interests of the UK.
You got a tough slog ahead going forward.

Then you find the truth to be ridiculous. People have free will. America is a nation of people who have collectively used their free will to choose ignorance and complacency over justice.

Really, and who has upheld the two-party system all these years? The oompa-loompas?
Don't care who did. Fact is we have laws for a reason. Perhaps you are into chaos and anarchy, but I am not.
