So, here is the question again. How can you justify your support or believe anything this man says when he lies like breathing? Why support a man who is literally spreading fake news?

He says someone is so and so while it is really he who is that so and so...
He says fake news when he spreads fake new... they (politicians) all do.

Just because it got votes dosn't mean it was supported by talking points.
As you have been on this website a good bit longer than me, how can you not see that?

The plain and simple is what you hold fast to, is not the will of the people. You are shown this over and over again, due to voting.
I hope you can find peace in this outcome and more to come.

The lies are just part of the strategy, and it doesn't even matter if people prove them as lies.

It serves either way to identify enemies. People who are targeted by the lies are enemies, and those who call them lies out themselves as enemies.

Consider, this is a poster that was made in 2003 by a researcher on Fascism, who came up with this short list of warning signs:

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Disdain For Human Rights
Identification of Enemies As a unifying cause
Supremacy of the military
Rampant Sexism
Controlled Mass Media
Obsession With National Security

Something got screwed up in that announcement. But Joe and Mika are going to push the position that it’s an intentional lie. I guess the reason they do it is because they believe their viewers are dumb enough to believe that.

Christ the bill was 98 to 1 . Only a fool would believe that was a intentional lie .

In the current environment the main stream media calls jokes, exaggerations and mistakes lies . The White House will walk that back.

When Obama walked something back it was called a correction. When the Trump White House walks
something back it’s called a lie.

You people are getting desperate .

Edit;

After brief investigation and I mean very brief. Once again Joe and Mika are lying and throwing a curveball . They are taking a cherry picked part of the statement (98 to 1) and representing it as the whole position .

The Democrats initially opposed the bill before caving.

Anybody that believes those two DTS addled brains are nuttier than them.

It was more partisan bickering from the left until they realized how bad they would look to the public.

Democrats are objecting to a bill in the Senate aimed at curbing the opioid crisis because of a GOP provision they say is an earmark for one PhRMA-funded advocacy group.

The provision, added by Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas), has sparked concern among Democrats, who say it would only benefit the Addiction Policy Forum, an advocacy group funded by PhRMA, according to a source familiar.

This isn't the first opioid bill the first was June they had tried several times to get bills passed unsuccessfully. I know Lamar Alexander bill faced huge opposition. And bills were stalled by Democrats over earmarks. Democrats argued it would only benefit the Addiction Policy Forum. Which is a group established by doctors to battle addiction through donations. However pharmaceutical companies have donated huge sums to it and they saw this as supporting big pharma by giving them control of funding to administer to clinics.

Now oddly I kind of agree with this the pharmaceutical companies have caused this problem. So any group they fund means there is ulterior motives involved. And being the number one backer gives them pull over the agency. So yes democrats have been fighting the measure and yes Trump probably saw their opposition as less than helpful.

Except, Trump makes constant mistakes and impulsive tweets. It's only you trump supporters who think he is some 4-d chess player.

He proves everyday that he is impulsive and lacks critical thinking. Who watches "fox and friends" before doing a job that requires governing the world's most powerful nation?

Getting desperate? Most people have been saying from the get-go that he is impulsive and reactive. He's got balls of steel. I'll give him that. But that's mainly because he lacks the foresight to see all the implications his words and actions create.

If you want to defend him, saying he is just a man. No one can be this superhero that people expect presidents to be, then ill understand. However, a lot of you trump supporters put him up on a trophy and act like he is some genius when he is not.

I was with you guys all the way, when you guys critiqued Obama on ATS. Yet, he at least had reserve and high intelligence. Something Trump clearly lacks.

Trump is the kind of person that NEEDS highly intelligent and patriotic people on his side. Without their support and without his humble acceptance of criticism, this is what we get. A trump that says whatever he wants, even if it is just plain stupid.

All this crap you're spouting above, in those quotes.... It's like you only get your information from the MSM or maybe Google news?

WTH has happened to people?

You had the chance there to bring up statistics, facts, a real opportunity to bring a hit to the Trump supporters... But you chose anecdotal opinion.

Bravo.

No wonder the left has lost all traction.

“Except “apparently that means you don’t want to talk about this instant anymore? The fact is Mika and Joe are doing exactly what you just accuse trump of.

He needs the tweets to get around bull# like the stuff that was just claimed .

“ 4-d chess” is a boring cliché that’s worn out. You automatically lose two points in this conversation for using it .

He proves everyday that he is impulsive and lacks critical thinking. Who watches "fox and friends" before doing a job that requires governing the world's most powerful nation?

“ critical thinking “ another tired old cliché you lose two more points for regurgitating it.

Apparently he’s not allowed to watch TV either ?

Getting desperate? Most people have been saying from the get-go that he is impulsive and reactive. He's got balls of steel. I'll give him that. But that's mainly because he lacks the foresight to see all the implications his words and actions create.

He’s sure getting a hell of a lot done .

He knows exactly what he’s doing with his words. He’s keeping the haters angry and because of their inability to look past there emotions they deserve it .

He’s leading the mainstream media around by the nose so effortlessly. That they pretend jokes are lies and deliberately mislead their viewers like now .

If you want to defend him, saying he is just a man. No one can be this superhero that people expect presidents to be, then ill understand. However, a lot of you trump supporters put him up on a trophy and act like he is some genius when he is not.

Sure I’ll defend him. Because so far your position is what the mainstream media has spoonfed you. “Trump is dumb and he says mean things” which you bought hook line and sinker .

I was with you guys all the way, when you guys critiqued Obama on ATS. Yet, he at least had reserve and high intelligence. Something Trump clearly lacks.

I wasn’t here during the Obama years. But despite voting against him two times. When he was elected I respected the office. You should try it sometime .

Trump is the kind of person that NEEDS highly intelligent and patriotic people on his side. Without their support and without his humble acceptance of criticism, this is what we get. A trump that says whatever he wants, even if it is just plain stupid.

There you go again Trump is dumb and needs help . As far as Trump saying what he wants it sure worked for him he’s worth billions how are you doing ?

At this point the standard rebuttal from the left is to bring up a individual business failure and present it as hard evidence against his overall wealth .

I’d like to ask you a question now .

After reading my edit did Joe and Mika just lie to you ?

Of course they did. Are you going to pretend this is the first time?

By the way if Trump resigned from office tomorrow. The liberal media would start attacking Pence and the whining left would believe every word it. The MSM narrative has nothing to do with character or accomplishments. Their only motive is to return Democrats the power and defend their liberal dream world full of rainbows, white fluffy clouds and unicorns .

But but but but Trump

It's mid-term time, every single politician is lying their ass off at the moment to make the other side look bad. Just watch a few political commercials then fact check them, you'll see what I'm saying.

Except you didn't because fascism can start off at any end of the political spectrum as long as you have massive voter support and full control of a government. Which is exactly what Trump wants. Socialism isn't a form of government, fascism is.

It is worth spending a few minutes to put together a respectable argument.

If you do that then both sides of the two party politic system will become respected. At present there are A LOT of left leaning voters who don't have the time to provide knowledge, logic, facts and debate but do have the time to talk anecdotally hoping their insinuations will sway opinion.

Very much like the MSM.

If you Google the OP title you will see, like 90% of the threads on here, this OP is lifted directly from Reddit. There, surprisingly there is some pretty open discussion about this and similar topics/implications on this particular Reddit thread. There are also more sources to enable the reader to put this better into context.

You people are incredible. This sites motto is deny ignorance but you seem to think it is “wallow in ignorance”.

The first opioid bill had Democratic support as well. By the way this is just the senates comprehensive version of the 57 Individual bills that past with heavy bipartisan support in June.. The only points of contention were how much money to spend. Both sides wanted this done. Objection to a piece of the bill does not mean that they did not support the bill as a whole. That is how politics is done, negotiations and comprises.

This was indeed another intentional lie from Trump, just like the thousands of others he has made. It’s very interesting to watch how his supporters twist themselves in knots to explain his bad behavior. Instead of realizing the truth which is “He lied to attempt to make the Democrats look bad and rally his base”, you guys twist yourselves in knots. It is hilarious.

Also, I’m kind enough to provide links whenever I make any allegations on this site. If you say something like “In June, blah blah blah”, provide a link to back up your statement otherwise you are just spouting hearsay. That’s the way to have a knowledge based discussion, everyone backs up their statements with facts.

June Bill

You act as if all politicians are pillars of virtue. I will admit he is prone to exaggeration, but actions speak louder than words. If you want to live in a democratic world, go to Detroit, San Francisco, Flint, Compton or Chicago...

I understand that politicians lie. The problem with Trump is that he lies about everything and then asks America to “Trust him”. So the question is, since he lies more often than any other President before about issues big and small how can you trust him to lead?

For example, I would say most people on this site believe Trump is innocent of any Conspiracy with Russia. However, how can you logically come to that conclusion when he has lied so frequently on the subject? One example is the Trump Tower meeting, to begin with Trump said it was about adoptions, but that didn’t last long. After more evidence came out he changed his story and said yes it was about dirt on Hillary but nothing happened. The latest from the Trump camp is that “Well, if we did get info on Hillary from Russia at the meeting then that’s ok”. This isn’t the only waffling that Trump has done on stories connected to Russia. So how do people justify trusting Trump when he says nothing happened between him and Russia? It isn’t logical.

Also, the type of lies, that verge on propoganda from the Presidency greatly damage democracy. The Brooking’s institute does a much better job than I ever could explaining why that is.

In the case of Democrats, especially Democrats, voting in favor of something doesn't always mean they "support" it.

They have other ways to defeat an issue after the fact.

We've seen the deception before.
