Election ploy and nothing more. Even if it happens we are talking about $50-$100 per household at most. Certainly not enough to make most people vote one way or the other.

Bet me. Obama was winning votes with a free bus ride to the polls and a free bagel. I was in Ohio for some catastrophic adjusting work in 2008 and staying in a camp park in my 5th wheel and some of the other 'residents' there were bragging about going to vote for Obama because they were getting a free ride to the polls and they would also get bagels and cream cheese for breakfast. I was dumbfounded. I asked them a few question on specific issues and they were clueless. They were the epitome of "sheeple".
