Although I didn't vote for trump I'm glad everyday that Hillary didn't win.

I did create a thread on some things that bother me about him.
OK here is why Trump is sucking right now

For starters:

1. Net Neutrality:
Getting rid of Net neutrality principles is far worse than banning Alex Jones from twitter and will likely come back to bite us all including republicans. It gives Att,comcast,Verision and all the ISP in the country the permissions to ban you from ever accessing Alex Jones or any right wing news sources if they want.

The only reason they haven't YET, is because they have patience and practice machiavellian tactics and they will slowly do it over time so by the time you realize it it will be to late.

2. Illegal immigration:
The Trump wall is unnecessary and a waste of money and 95% of the illegals can be stopped by simply prosecuting the American companies who give illegals incentive to come here (by giving them jobs).

3. Foreign matters:
Our dealing with Israel and Saudi is still more of the same. Although he has done much better than recent POTUS before him and surely than Hillary would have done.

4. Taxes:
What utter cr@p. Yes sure its better than before but at the end of the day he just put a little vaseline on Uncle Sam.

He needs to do away with the 80K pages of tax codes and deductions and go to a fair flat tax.
Deductions lets business owners and top .01% get out of paying taxes , while the majority of middleclass who are w2 earners get to pick up the tab.

I have been on both sides.

5. Change in management:
Until I actually see people at the top going to jail and prosecuted , its hard to see this whole Q thing and Trump speaking about corruption from the left as anything but a change in management. Kind of the Meet the new boss same as the old boss thing.

To many on the left, it doesn't matter what of Trump you disagree with... Agreeing with ANYTHING he says or does forever pigeonholes you into an existential threat to existence.

Keep up.

I think this kind of attitude is a huge problem, its akin to "most of the racists on the right.....".

I agree with Trump on some issues, ie. abortion and his work with North Korea yet I am probably one of his bigger critics on ATS. I think we have fell into this trap of believing in absolutes, you are either Team Trump or your Team Anti-Trump and there is no middle ground. Its became a black and white argument and I personally like to float around the grey.

It would be good to see more of us kind of find this grey middle ground, sure you might support Trump I might think he is a awful POTUS but if both sides could agree that there does exist common ground the division I believe would lessen a little.

I agree with your sentiment.

However, it's pretty undeniable that view is a minority one from the left's leadership.

Just sayin'

Yes I agree with this

Look if we are honest there are extreme ideologies in both sides

(I think there are more in the leadership of the Dems, but that is irrelevant to this point)

However, those people will not be interested in an honest conversation no matter what

So we should have discussiogearrd toward the rest

To do that, we should all assume that people that disagree with us are well intentioned and willing to hear others out

And if we are wrong about a particular person, no harm caused

But if we assume groups of people are all bad people or something and we are wrong, then we not only lost an opportunity to have a productive discussion, but we create further division

What about his treatment/comments regarding women?

I know you were not directing this question to me, but since many of my more liberal girlfriends ask me this question all the time. I wanted to share my response as to why as a woman I voted for Trump and am planning on voting for him in 2020 too.

If I was picking Trump to be my friend, boyfriend or husband...he would have no hope. Seriously, what an absolute jerk. As it is, I am not choosing him for that role in life. I am choosing him to use what talents he has proven to be successful. As an innovativeleader, he needs to be confident, boastful, and shoot from the hip.

When it comes to business...he has proven that he doesn't care what gender (race or identity, etc) you are...if you can do the job...logically he will ensure you succeed since that is success for him.

I am not electing representatives to have a relationship with me, just as an employer it is foolish to hire your family and friends. You hire (elect) the individual who has the talent and skills to follow through and complete the tasks you set before them.

Trump

His insults

The way he repeats phrases in his speehes

Attacks on syria

explosion of debt

not dealing with the federal reserve

go after specific business he doesnt like (like NFL)

he has no humility

Republicans

anti freedom social policies, like drug war or anti gay marriage

exploding the debt

neo con type regime change wars

lying about things to get elected, like enofrcing immigration or repealing obamacare

Lastly the establishment republicans and dems are the same party

Most of those are reasons for why I will never support Trump, so what's the point of supporting him??? Just to counter the left? That's not a good reason to get involved in any fight. If there are no good options, don't get involved. America would be better of if more people realized that.

Alex Jones would be banned anyway. He was banned for violations of terms of service, which would not be protected under NN as far as I am aware.

Good luck prosecuting in states that sponsor sanctuary cities.

Saudis have a strategic relationship to us that would devastate our economy. They trade oil in US dollars, aka petrodollars, which hold our economy and the value of the US Dollar together.

Apple repatriated 200 billion. We wouldn't have seen that money without giving them a break unfortunately. Our best hope is to close those gaps in policy for the future.

I too am disappointed over elite criminals seeing different treatment than regular people.

Why, do you even need to bring inconvenient truths into a site that worships trump. Any thing negative about trump is just labled "fake news' anyway!!

I wonder if anyone besides me is aware of the irony of both the Saudis and Zionists having such control of the US government. Yep, trump MAGA and protect the House of Saud and the WZO.

The jyst is that republicans freak out and bitch about the Left blocking conservative content. However, the part the republicans completely fail to acknowledge is that they gave the keys to the Deep state (comcast, verizon,Att, and isp) to control EVERYTHING you get to access versus just websites like Facebook or twitter.

When Alex was banned from twitter his followers got to still hear his crazy BS by going to his website directly. However since net neutrality was repealed, they could have easily blocked him from FB and twtter , but they could have legally also blocked all access to his alexBatCrzy.com website. The only reason they didn't is because they aren't dumb and they wont implement such tactics all at once or overnight.

If it wasn't for NN principles that horrendous excuse for a women Hillary would have been our POTUS. Imagine if the MSM such as cnn, msnbc controlled ALL the narrative and stories you got to hear about trump and hillary on the MSM,TV,Radio, and paper but now on the internet aswell. Well that is exactly what the republicans did, they gave the Deep state complete control of the last medium where the little guy had an equal voice (the internet). The internet exposed all of Hillary BS.

Honestly, I think trump doesn't understand NN principles of the importance of it in a free global economy like the internet and was tricked by the neocon republican swamp creatures to do this.

Good luck prosecuting in states that sponsor sanctuary cities.

Not sure how that relates to what I said, but I agree its not likely to happen.

I don't disagree, but I don't see us working to address that . Instead it looks like we are getting even closer with one another.

But does it matter what you think? I mean, does it REALLY matter? I submit to you that not only does it not matter what you think. It also doesn't matter how you "vote". Because in the end, your vote is just a really clever pacifier.

Had a rough day and took it out on ATS with some hard truth. Plenty of woke people around, but not particularly outspoken.

Star and flag. You're a fiscal conservative, socially moderate like myself. Basically common sense beliefs based on the freedoms we already have. I vote Republican as they come closest to my beliefs and due to having no libertarian candidates worth voting for. I believe Trump is much closer to a libertarian than a republican and is exactly what I want in an elected official. Just my .02.

Pretty much this. We didn't vote for Trump (or any President) to be our Sunday School teacher. We voted for him to be the Chief Executive of the Federal Government.
