These extremists do nothing but piss off everyone but themselves. But in the end, Trump will still have a record-breaking turnout for his rally because he actually has the country behind him unlike these clowns.

It was just Beto’s supporters ensuring Senator Cruz gets reelected.

So you're stating the left as in democrats or socialist and communist from the cold war Era because if you're relating that time to the present you're very much reaching.

Blocking traffic and protesting like progressive socialist isn't how my country works. If you really understood the history of my country you'd understand we're supposed to respectfully debate not block traffic like children.

The left is historically persecuted gtfo with that nonsense

Wait, so you're saying that the Left never took part in voter suppression? Have you never heard of poll taxes and literacy tests for those trying to vote in the South. This type of harassment of mostly African American voters continued until they passed the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

You forgot the part about intentionally blocking their path to the voting locations. Even AFTER the voting Rights Act was passed.
That George Wallace and others were the epitome of Civil Rights (venom dripping sarcasm) huh ?
Folks in the UK only get a small part of the story....
Forgive them.

Blocking traffic isn't an acceptable form of protest.

Many people who are affected have nothing to do with what's being protested.

Its all fun and games till ambulance is stuck in traffic.

OK a bit of Texas History - Dallas County Style

Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price, 30 years ago, used to lead protests and block traffic during rush hour on city streets, at one point broke off a persons windshield wiper & prosecuted the driver.... Mostly targeted areas around various police department precinct HQs. (D) affiliation. Just sayin nuthin new for Texas, sadly.

Last I heard there were an estimated 77,000 wanting to attend.. If I had to bet Texas will clear the roads in short order.... just give them time to organize their phalanx .

That has risen to almost 100,000 people... with people camping out since 6pm yesterday evening to get in line.
The cops will hopefully clear the liberals blocking access... with that many people in and around the venue (18,000 is all it holds) there is the potential for things to get a bit spicy outside.

I am not sure Democrats will be able to pay enough people to protest in the time left before the event takes place, so liberals will be hopelessly outnumbered.

Yet they neglect to realize that Trump wouldn't even be President if it weren't for Hillary's failed pied-piper candidate strategy and rigging the primaries against Bernie Sanders. But... y'know... RUSSIA..

You mean like when those Brits didn't allow the colonists to have a vote on taxes and laws that affected them directly?

I guess that we learned a bad lesson from daddy for a short while, but recovering from that type of teacher takes time.

Be patient, please.

As for throwing stones in glass houses: A Timeline of British Voting.

You say that there's nothing on the line here, but there is: Political intimidation and illegally impeding the movement of people just because you disagree with their politics is not something that most thinking people are okay with, regardless as to which side it originates. Forced 'slight jarring" through illegal means is not justified in this instance.

Boo-f**king-hoo, you don't like Trump. Grow up and get over it--and that goes for these people blocking traffic, too.

As for voter suppression never being used against the right, I submit Exhibit A, from 2008 (Obama's election):

Tread lightly when you use the word "never" in making claims. And yes, the police were called by a poll worker in that incident and the guy with the stick was told to leave by the police--but the other guy remained, continuing to attempt to intimidate voters.

"Never." LOL

The reality is, yes, there has been historical voter suppression, but we've gotten past that--the trend is going in the wrong direction on the left, though...at least here in America.

Creative

Wasn't it Socrates who said once slander is used the winner/loser of a debate becomes apparent? The dems are so far past losing the argument, this seems like all they have left.

I guess as long as their mob doesn't start attacking motorists or obstructing emergency traffic I think something like a train horn is a great idea. Would probably startle the pants off them

There has been nothing in the Houston local news about protesters other than they will be confined to an specific area.

Any "road blocking protesters" would be cleared quickly. The DPS won't allow such a thing as it concerns public safety.

I have friend that drove up to Houston and said it was packed at noon, the Toyota Center opened the doors early to get people odd the streets. My friends did not get in, instead they are going to the tailgate party at discovery green park near there. They said there is a lot of people there and the stadium is being called at capacity.

Less than six hours in, Harris County voters on Monday set a new record for the first day of early voting in a midterm election, County Clerk Stan Stanart said.

As of 1:30 p.m. more than 36,600 voters had cast ballots, with three hours left before polls closed. The previous record was 26,051, set in the 2010 midterm election.

The video has nothing to do with rally. They were not blocking traffic. They blocked the exits so people couldn't leave a parking lot - not the streets.

Really no big deal unless you were in the parking lot.

I agree.

Blocking traffic is similar to the taking of innocent hostages ….

Not cool.

Really? You never heard of Jeff Sessions?

Someone needs to read up on their history. Someone also needs to understand that Democrat and Republicans pole shifted in their ideals quite some time ago, rendering the name of their party largely irrelevant. I should not have to be explaining American history to an American. Theres not much of it after all, so go and learn it all properly, and get back to me.

You are more than welcome to your opinion on that matter Lagomorphe, but people keeping their gobs shut when things are skewed, is what leads to genocides and holocausts, so no, I will be opening my mouth on matters pertaining to all corners of the world map, and the things that go on here on this planet, for as long as I have breath in my lungs and the energy necessary to operate a keyboard.

You see, I am not just an occupant of this one country. I am a human being before I am anything else. What happens around the world is not just the problem of those living in the nations directly effected, inequality anywhere is a problem for equality everywhere, and I won't have that. Reality denying, luddite cretins, following a false idol, do not get to dictate to reasonable people, what their rights are, and do not merely have the right to protest about it, but a duty to do so.

Are you just making up rules as you go now? You are not the arbiter of what is and is not an acceptable form of protest, and in America, everything up to and including open revolt has precedent as being perfectly acceptable in hindsight, so I fail to see your logic. These people have not taken up arms and stormed the capital, so calm down, have a cup of something warm and lacking in the ridiculous amounts of caffine present in your local coffee house brew, and be realistic about the implications of the protest, rather than loosing your rag over nothing.

As for ambulances stuck in traffic... If drivers are too stupid and slow to react, to move over and allow emergency vehicles to pass to the front, so that protestors can make way (which protestors are likely to do in virtually any case, unless the emergency vehicle in question is delivering riot officers), then that is rather more the fault of the drivers on the road, than it is the protestors.
