I don’t know. I kind of like her and I’m not a Dem. What do you all think?

Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii is considering running for president in 2020, a source with direct knowledge of her deliberations told POLITICO.

But Gabbard became a darling of the left in 2016 when she resigned as a vice chair of the Democratic National Committee after fighting against a primary debate schedule that seemed designed to give Hillary Clinton an advantage. She was one of the first members of Congress to endorse Sanders.

If she's for lower taxes, smaller government, more freedoms, doesn't mess with gun rights or free speech, is tough on illegal immigration, supports gay marriage, supports drug legalization. . . then I'd vote for her.

If Trump runs in 2020 I do not care who his opponent is ... Trump would have my vote... Jobs not mobs etc etc and make America great again works for me especially so far these sayings have not been empty words..

The problem with anyone who claims to be a democrat is the DNC ..Same for anyone claiming to be a Republican and the republican party.. Trump is a Republican in name only and that is why both parties have fought him tooth and nail IMO.

So in other words, if reality did a complete flip flop, then you would vote for her.

That's my point.

I vote for policy, not the person or personality.

She's one of the few reasonable personalities on the left. She'd be a good candidate. Which means they'll run Hillary again in 2020.

She would get serious consideration from me, I like an awful lot of what she says.

That said she has zero chance of a Democrat nomination in this day and age.

I am against the government regulating marriage and issuing licenses to anyone.
They need to keep the government out of a purely religious ceremony.

So I'm against government licensed marriage for both gays and straights.

I think you're just a big govt shill DB.
Hehehehe

Looking at the political site www.isidewith.com, at this moment in time, Michele Obama is leading the pack. Tulsi is in the also ran category. I am not happy with Michele as a candidate, simply because we do not need any dynasties. No Clinton's, Obama's, or Bush's need apply. Biden is still interested and is in play. If Trump decides to go for a second term, the Bush boys will be off the ballot. Hillary may be in too poor a shape to run; the stress may kill her. Spartacus has no real support and the others keep tripping themselves up. The Kavanaugh hearings exposed them so I don't see them surviving public scrutiny.
Fauxcohontas just buried herself with the DNA test that showed a hungry mosquito could have rid her of all her Cherokee blood. The Cherokee Nation is annoyed at her for being a poseur while Harvard named her as a "woman of color" on their faculty. They didn't mention that the color was white.

I generally agree with that.
But it's too late to put that cat back in the bag. Once taxes, benefits and other legal protections became tied to marriage it belongs to everyone.

But no one is breaking into your house to have gay butt sex on your couch so it really shouldn't matter.

But on topic, if she was running against someone like Romney or Ted Cruz I'd vote for her. She seams pretty reasonable.

Bah, if she wanted Bernie then she is a stealth socialist at best. Of course I wouldn't vote for her anyway, but I am thinking she is no "moderate" if that's what you are trying to trick people into believing.

She’s a Dem, but is more moderate than anyone and would have a legimate shot in 2020. This country is so divided, we need a moderate.

She would need to be someone that was pro-freedom, anti-war and for small government. She would also be someone willing to balance the Federal budget and lower taxes. I don't think her policies would align with mine.

We vote for someone that shares our values. I don't care if I like a politician I only care that they support my interests and that of my family.

Trump IS a moderate.

He is a social moderate who supports my gun rights and the Constitution. He is very close to where I align on most policies because he leaves people alone to be responsible for themselves by creating opportunity and a strong economy while still supporting the rights of individuals.
