OMG. You can't be serious.

The entire issue is based on this tweet from yesterday:

twitter.com...

For the record, I have no financial interests in Saudi Arabia (or Russia, for that matter). Any suggestion that I have is just more FAKE NEWS (of which there is plenty)!

False. Don't lie. It's about Trump contradicting himself with his latest statement. His latest statement was about assets IN Saudi Arabia. No contradiction.

Point out to me where it says IN Saudi Arabia in the OP and I will gladly concede my point.

Otherwise, it’s just a straw man you’ve built up to try to justify another one of Trumps lies.

And the OP clearly states WITH Saudi Arabia. Trumps lawyer speak in his tweet notwithstanding.

That's the whole point the op is a fake news lie.

President Trump says he has no business with Saudi Arabia

That's not what Trump said. Trump said no assets IN Saudi Arabia.

The op is a lie, Trump never said that.

Jesus Christ. There really is a Trump Derangement Syndrome.

And it's his supporters who have it.

Lemme guess... We're all also racists, homophobes, misogynists, and snowflakes, too, right? I've always found it comical that liberal progressives call their political opponents everything their own party is guilty of. Never fails.

Projection vs projection is projection. Here is the thing we see racist, homophobic, misogynist, snowflake posts right here on ATS on almost a daily basis. Usually posted by the members that get their knickers in a twist over being called out for what they are saying!

"Nuh uh, your a racist for calling me racist" is the school yard equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?"

Dude, are you just trolling?

The OP's tweet (6:42 AM - 16 Oct 2018) was in response to Trump's tweet (6:15 AM - 16 Oct 2018).

In other words, Andrew Kaczynski sought to rebut something the President did NOT say.

And he may not. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have business interests WITH Saudi Arabia, as he has clearly admitted to and the OP is pointing out.

Whether Trump has business interests IN Saudi Arabia or WITH them, he has still accepted millions of dollars from the Saudi government. Harping on “Well, he said IN Saudi Arabia!” is only you trying to deflect away from the fact he’s accepted millions of dollars from them. Which is the relevant part.

Why is that relevant?

Shall we list every American who has or received a financial benefit from Saudi Arabia?

What is your point?

If I open an Italian restaurant and a bunch of Italians come to eat there, does that now mean I have financial interest IN Italy????

No but when those Italians that eat at your restaurant influence what you put on your menu, when they are 13% of your restaurants slumping business, and then they invest in the roads that lead to your building, you might say that you have a financial interest.

Oh and don't forget, they give you a little something under the table....

So do you think Trump hasn’t accepted millions from the Saudi Government? That’s the important part. Whether it happened in their country or in this one is beside the point.

It’s the accepting of millions of dollars.

If that person is the president of the United States and the question is about Saudi Arabia, then yes we should ask if he received a financial benefit from them.

Which in this case he has admitted to.

Whether Trump has business interests IN Saudi Arabia or WITH them,

Are two completely different things. The entire op is about Trump saying contradictory things. That's the op. The op is about Trump lying in his recent tweet.

Newsflash, he didn't. The op is lying about what Trump said.

President Trump says he has no business with Saudi Arabia

Now show me where Trump said that.
