Been waiting to post this a while but curser feezes too often on this site.

My curser has been freezing for some time and I think, I've narrowed it down to "Display Drivers has stopped working"

Its worst on ATS than any site but sites with much less graphics are not too bad.

Getting ready to push this computer through the wall.

Tried updating the display driver but it never seems to work.

Updates set on auto update.

getting the odd BCOD

I run Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium(6.1.7601 Build 7601) Physical Memory (Installed): 8 GB Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G840 @ 2.80GHz System Type: x64-based PC, ASRock Z68 Pro3-M

thanks for all help.

I had a somewhat similar issue a while back, but mine was a problem with font. I tried to update the driver and it never worked, so I rolled back the driver and viola! !
Give that a try and see if it works for you.

I absolutely HATE that error.

I get it all the time.

To put it bluntly.

You need a better pc.

No less tha 64 GB memory ( Even surfing website takes a crapload and 'it's getting worse).

Better processor. I5 or better.

IMO.

Turn off Video Acceleration in the browser options
No need to come back and thank me

Update your Nvidia Video drivers . You must be using an ancient version.

I've had the computer 5-6 years and never had this problem till the last 6 months or so but I do often wonder if parts need hardware needs updating

What i meant to add here is that the curser freezes most when its in the slider bar on the left of the screen. Particularly when I put the curser on the slider itself.

The more a site has color and graphics the worse it is. All text sites are ok.

thanks for all help

This caused by one of many probs.

Use msconfig.exe to go to list of things starting up when computer booted. Take a screen shot list of them.
Then start in safe mode with networking. and repeat.
Disable the delta.

Then go into Services and disable any third party apps you don't need.

Go into power saving mode and select all options which have 'Never'

Disable desk top manger which enables the use of hardware acceleration to render the graphical user interface of Windows as if graphical drivers are not compatible can freeze screen
