It's Rediculous to Deny Billions of Dollars to U.S. Families Because Saudi Arabia Killed a Person.

Because people in general don't care. Our country's leadership doesn't care. It could be this one might end up outing some info that leaders don't want heard.

political convenience, as it is clearly not in the interest of everyday americans to put more boots on the ground in the desert, or perhaps they are advocating sending loved ones into harms way for a single saudi national?

I'd like to halt the dependence on OPEC for entirely different reasons.

We need to #WalkAway from the Middle East.

AGREED.

And as far as the "business is business" with the Saudi's, that is the attitude what led to 9-11 in about dozen different ways.

Trump ignoring this just validates to the world that Al-Qaida had a good point when they accused the US of, arming, propping up and supporting brutal dictators that these people suffer under.

Trump isn't even trying to pretend otherwise.

Complete and utter abdication of our moral standing in the world.

Trump's message to Saudi's is kill whoever you like, just don't get caught next time.

This guy was a US Resident. We look the other way and US citizens/Saudi XPats critical of Saudi Arabia could disappear.

Russia is killing dissidents in the UK AND the USA :
www.buzzfeednews.com...

We need to send a message that hell and fury follows when this # happens, NOT it's OK, just don't get caught.

This will fade away in a week as has every other time a press member is killed. People turn it into a political fight just as almost every other event is.

Business doesn't care about it. More bets everything.

WTF?
A) We already have boots on the ground in the middle east and THAT is why Trump is groveling to the Saudi Prince and BSING on his behalf.

B) Retreating from the middle east is what we are threatening. No More Arms. No more protection racket. We are near self sufficient in energy needs now, we can bridge the gap until we are 100% off of Saudi Oil.

No one is suggesting sending (more) troops into Saudi Arabia????

Having killed that someone they broke international law , this is about more than just the killing of Khashoggi.

You've got to stand up to regimes like this that kill, that arm terrorists. They support Boko Haram and Al Quaeda for God's sake. They were behind 9/11. They support Osama Bin Laden.

They're way worse than North Korea.

We don't need terrorists money. Seriously. The poor in America won't be any better off with this blood money. It all goes to rich mulit national corporations. Not us.

The Saudi Government sent a kill/torture squad against a journalist...with a bone saw to cut him into peaces while he was still alive.

We only support them because they give our rich leaders, (not our poor) billions of dollars. Our arms dealers make money. And they sell us oil. We don't need their oil. With Solar energy booming, electric cars booming, our own oil production, we really don't need them at all. We're still in the middle east, in Israel, and Egypt and Iraq, and Afganistan, etc etc. We have dozens of military bases in that region. We don't need Saudi Arabia.

Why do business with a country that kills our own soldiers? Nothing could be more un patriotic@!

I wonder how often this happens somewhere in the world? She we determine that, and "punish" all nations who have murdered one of their own citizens?

you want more war in the middle east
good for you
I am in no way willing to have more conflict over a saudi national, especially when we were not willing to even protect our ambassadors over there.

If I was a journalist, and not a spy or undercover agent, and some country's government... Some country's elected leaders, and federal system, was the responsible party?

I'd want my home country to put soldiers on the ground and go to war.

Financial sanctions in the billions for cold blood murder by a legitimate government, are very light handed. This punishment is more than fair.

International wars have started with one, just one death. Look at history. One person dead -> Full blown war.

It always starts with one.

""punish" all nations who have murdered one of their own citizens?"

Well, I don't know what freedomless crap hole you hail from.
But I am from the bald eagle country called America. Yes. That's exactly what the f*** we do.

We defend freedom.
^
That statement is never made as "We defend the freedom of US citizens."

You know why? Because our creed is defending the idea of freedom itself. This includes individuals freedom from their own corrupt governments.

Our protection of freedom does not end at US borders.

The whole thing with the Saudi "reporter" is a fabrication of the MSM. Yea, he lived, yea, he was killed, yea, ........who gives a snip? This wouldn't even be a news item except the MSMBS that has promoted the story to front and center for the last week or so. If there were ANYTHING else of any importance, this item wouldn't have even been anything but a passing mention. But because nothing's going on of any importance and because he was a "reporter" the MSM is all over this like white on rice. They take this approach that the media types are like sacrosanct and should never be threatened, much less killed when in fact this guy, like others of the media who get knocked off, made the wrong enemies.

In other words, its a load-O-crap.
