I find those round windows rather attractive. They look very nice and comforting. It is something I have since my childhood.I dont remember any buildings with round windows anywhere near i lived at all. But slight maybe from a dreams of some sort.
Does it sound weird?

Because when building its easier to work with straight lumber and fasten the pieces together is worlds easier than circular. We would have to steam the wood to bend it to shape, and consistent natural curves in lumber is rare.

Not sure If I understand the question.

are you telling me that you can not make a round hole in the wall as a window? its lining doesnt have to be wood.

You'd need a pretty big drill...lol

Building something and then cutting half of it away is more costly than building it with the holes already in it..and building a square hole is easier than a round hole, make sense?

Peace

i dont think so. you just want to make them rectangular so there will bes less comforting. i bet so. you said it is comforting. did you calculated the cost. no. and you say we cant make it because of cost now. it is unfair. i ll go buy cigarettes.

Figuring out a way to open it would mean either less of an opening or all the window weight on one hinge.

Its not impossible or affordable, just a specialty item that costs more due tot he construction costs.

You could just have a round hole and throw some glass in it but watch out for the house settling, you could crack the window without a proper frame for it(bent wood or otherwise). Also consider building regulations depending on where one lives. Materials and energy ratings matter to Insurance agencies as well.

Here is a simple round:
Round 24" window for $300

And the same size in rectangle
24" rectangle that opens for $80

Its all about cost

dont try to fool me. in this age they build the complete wall together if they can do it they can build the round window in it before putting the all walls together with all round windows in them.

It's not what you need or like...it's instinct.

Opposite to round and curvy is straight and pointy....pointy dangerous.

Instinct.

It explains why a 6 month old baby prefers a soft round toy over a knife...

You are older and I have no idea where your experiences brought you. Your dislike of knives might have an other reason all together but it could explain it.
