That's actually kind of unsettling... The leader of the free world, uses ambiguous terminology to call a million dollar bet... but its all good, cause it should be "implied you have to at least meet some standard".

A bet, if you can call it that, usually involves two parties or more. Elizabeth Warren did not agree to any conditions. In fact she dismissed him.

She accepted the bet by releasing her DNA test and by the (lack of) conditions set of the original bet...She won.

Her test showed she is not a Native American.

If there's a 1/1024th chance that they they think they can get Trump on something, they'll go for it no matter what it is.

It does run like a parody.

Norman, OK is where the state mental hospital is located. Maybe that's where her heritage comes from!

Alternative facts. Remember?

Elizabeth Warren Lectures Native Americans About Pocahontas

Ms. Warren has never provided any official documentation to substantiate her supposed Cherokee and Delaware heritage, and she didn’t provide any last week.

Rather, she has based her claims over the years on childhood stories and the fact that an aunt once said the family “had high cheekbones like all the Indians do.” As a law professor in the 1980s and ’90s, she self-identified as Native American in school directories in the hope that she might “be invited to a luncheon” where she could “meet others like me.”

Whether Ms. Warren made these claims to improve her job prospects or merely to get invited to a luncheon is an open question. She contributed recipes to a 1984 cookbook titled “Pow Wow Chow” and signed her name “Elizabeth Warren—Cherokee.”

But 1/1024th!!!! Even if it's not Cherokee.

Watching CNN at the moment. It seems they'll invite her to lunch.

He said if she can prove she's a Native American. 1/1024th doesn't make you a Native American.

If the left agrees that 1/1024th satisfies the requirements for Native American then they should also agree that 1/1024th of the cells in the human body satisfies the requirements for being a human being, and if they do that, then Trump should pay.

Ah!!

I stand corrected. Pundits on CNN now admitting this won't really help her.

Even they are signaling how ridiculous this claim is.

Nope sorry 1/16th is where they start.

Not actually true for Cherokee. You don't need NA blood to be a Cherokee.

They just need to have ancestors listed on the Dawes Rolls.

The website for the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, OK follows; they are the largest and they can give you the specific for their enrollment requirements.

www.cherokee.org...

**Note: This is the largest Cherokee tribe and they have no blood quantum requirements; you just have to prove that you are a direct lineal descendant of someone that was enrolled in the tribe and there can be no gaps in enrollment…meaning if a generation or two has not enrolled you will have to enroll them also, even if they are deceased, which is allowed so long as you can document their relationship to the last known Tribe member.

That being said, I seriously doubt she has an ancestor on the rolls.

Sorry to rain on everyone's parade.

ETA; the rules are that way because of the Freedman part of the Tribe... freed slaves that were taken into the Nation.

What part about "if you're Native American" and "1/1024th does not qualify as a Native American" don't you get?
