anyone know of anything that will last just a couple shampoos or even just a day that is safe to use?

my daughter is six and wanted a loud color for her hair. just to mess around you know.

so me being #ing stupid i figured i will get a can of that spray # they have in the halloween section. picked out pink.
stoked. thought it was going to look awesome.

she covered her face and i have the side of her hair a big blast and she started basically choking. then i started choking.
we smash some water so i decide to read the can. you know, after i almost kill us.

ingredients
butane
propane
ethobutane

all kinds of other # that sounds like it is the most flammable stuff of all time

anyone know of anything i can use that wont kill us?

there is a beauty supply store i am going to call as well when they open

We've used kool aid in the past.
There are websites that have the chart for specific color creating.

thats interesting

how long does it last?

Well, it can last a long time. The less expensive brands don't seem to last as long oddly enough as all kool aid is inexpensive anyway.
It really depends on the person's original color, in my experience. If it's only in for a few hours, a inexpensive clarifying shampoo can get it out fairly easily. I've found darker hair to be easier to remove the color than blonde.
A hair stylist or beauty consultant will likely give you the best answers, a professional in that area.
I just remembered that I think your children are younger and I wasn't thinking of school at the time. My children's school had fairly strict policies about that sort of thing so we did most fun stuff in the summer.
Maybe you could just do a wig or hair extensions instead.

There are “hair makeup” products out now that wash out with shampoo. All different colours.
You need to visit a hairdresser, or a decent makeup department in a store.

yeah we are going to wait

i called the beauty supply store and she said they have a hair chalk that will wash out same day but it is a powder so it gets everywhere.
the next thing was a semi permanent but with school i dont want to chance it

i was going to just do some streaks with that so her whole dome wasnt pink but its best to wait.
dont need to catch # from the school.

summer time i will let her go off

I did a search on Amazon for "temporary kids hair color" and they've got lots of stuff, including that hair chalk that's in a comb. Looks like it might've solved that gets everywhere problem. Good luck, and I hope your daughter loves whatever you find!

I am sorry for posting this picture again but my two dogs recently got a beauty makeover from the kids and they have chalk for your hair..

It didn't wash out the way the package said and I had to walk the dogs a full week with these colors..

Peace

Not to try sounding like an ass or anything, but does the can say 'use in a well-ventilated area', by any chance?

As far as I'm aware, most if not all hairspray and canned deodorants use butane and similar as propellants, the alternative are CFC's which are banned due to the harm they cause the ozone layer,

Just a thought,

The Great Clips where we get kiddo's hair cut often has little packets of colored hair gel you can get for doing your hair up before football or basketball games. It comes in different colors and has glitter in it.

I would imagine it lasts as long as the hair goes unwashed.

Ummm...should we take that to mean...you didn't come...out...of the closet...?

Or the ventilation just wasn't that good...?

I hear Ritz makes good dye...
