At this point I'm of the belief many of you yanks have simply gone off the deep end, I edited my post just before your post to me as I felt I needed to clarify what I'm saying.

Yanks are north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Very offensive to call someone south of it a yank. Slow your roll.

Yanks are also a name that some non Americans call American people, not as an insult but more as lighthearted and friendly description, if you yanks take that personally that's on you, perhaps stop looking for reasons to be pissed off ?

I have never heard it used in a lighthearted way and it is ABSOLUTELY NEVER used in a friendly context but as a label.

It's as friendly as calling people from England "Limey"

Don't try to pass that off and tell us that if we are offended that's our problem. You sound like a 1950s Democrat trying to convince everyone that Calling a man a Nigger is ok and if they get offended "oh thats their issue".

Get out of here with that crap.
It's a blanket term that is based on nationalistic stereotyping.

Nice try though, but you are in the wrong board for that.

It was thought up originally as a Derisive term.

Get out and look up slang before you get your teeth kicked in somewhere

My point being, there are certain words that I am not allowed to use, under penalty of social attack and potential loss of property or income, even though their use was never meant to be derogatory, because they were 'offensive.' I have identified a word that you use which has no derogatory intent, but which I and others deem offensive. Why is the word I did not intent to be derogatory considered so terrible to use, but the word you do not intend to be derogatory is allowed and even argued for?

Can you not see the double standard here?

Being Canadian and a hockey fan since birth we use to call U.S players yanks out of good fun because they stunk. Now that players from the U.S are getting better and becoming franchise players in the league we call them Americans. Don't take it too personal man.

Sure I get that, I just think if we start to think of ourselves in these ways we are creating our own prisons. If it came down to it we could be offended by literally everything we come into contact with should we choose to associate with it negatively. It's my opinion people need to lighten up and find positives instead of dwelling in negativity.

Limey, sure, we call new Zealand people sheep #ers and we call Tasmanians inbred... Not as to pick a fight though it's meant in jest... You yanks take this # far too seriously... Careful as you won't get out alive...

In saying all that you sound like an extremist to me, you're really angry and you likely are armed... It's Not a good a combination ...

I actually agree with that, but there's that fairness and equality thing in the way. We already started down this road of demanding an end to all offense, and it is simply not fair to change the rules now.

Imagine for a moment that we are playing chess, and you have me me in checkmate in 4 moves. How would you feel if I suddenly declared "Sorry, but we're changing the rules. Bishops now move side-to-side and rooks move diagonally. Oh, that means you're in checkmate... I win." That's how the game is being played now. More than decide on what rules we want, we need to pick a set of rules, and then stick with them!

I can't argue with your anology because yes I would not accept a change of rules in that manner. We are certainly heading down dark paths... In saying that though you get chess and I would enjoy a game with you ...

Here's hoping we can play a game sometime.

So my question to you, for you to ponder: understanding what I have pointed out about fairness in today's society, what will you now do? Will you accept things as-is, knowing the path we take is so dark, or will you speak out against the unfairness and hypocrisy inherent in political correctness?

Been a good debate... thank you.

It's not too personal. I understand the term used in competing sports or when we are pissing you off and acting like arrogant jackasses.

I just don't want anyone telling me it's a "Loving, endearing term"
Or anything along those lines.
I call Canadians Canucks, but it's more to mean hardheaded folks.
I also know that America got it's ass kicked trying to annex territory in Canada once so I respect them.

But I also feel that using the term "You Yanks" is a bit like going into a pub in Manchester and telling them their

"losses are not the fault of the coach, it's just bad genetics! What ya expect when you take a bunch of tossers who are the equivilant of illiterate Texans, and let them have a ball to play with?"

I imagine they would show me the door, with all their fists and a few kind words to reciprocate my spirited approach?

So I sound like an extremist to you, but you think I won't get out alive...

Well you clearly do not know what an extremist sounds like.

And how is it one deduces sound from words written on paper or screen?

Anger is a weakness that causes the mistakes of many.

I am an extremist, but not the kind that believes blowing up a Sbarro's Pizza or a federal building is going to solve or change anything other than for the worse.

I have the right to be angry.
I spent my when life following principles of self control due to some serious inner fire and rage, only to watch the Left toss any such ideals to civility and using reason out the window.

They are using acts of intimidation. And threats of violence and physical assault to achieve a political end.

As a Citizen it is my duty to Defend this Nation against all Enemies both Foreign and Domestic.
I see a Domestic force Acting like Enemies, and as they ramp up Extremity I will in turn Ramp up my preparedness.

I also am a Native American and half Welsh.
That's two ethnicities who have whole proverbs on Anger being as good as Courage.

One of which is less than 120 years removed from what you might call "Absolute Warlike Brabarism"

I have also been trained by a Vet Retired after 10 years of service as a Navy Seal in Southern Style Kung Fu and other hand to hand, along with my vast survival skills that range from hunting, survival, a huge knowledge of edible and poisonous plants that would put a Cherokee to shame, and a long collected knowledge of assassination, propaganda, disinformation and last but not least, Improvised Weapons and Improvised Explosives and chemical gasses. Amongst many non related skills.

So you are right about me being armed, but it is my Weaponized Mind and Body you should fear.
The only people endangering others with a gun in my possession is the idiot who brought one within 20 feet.

Knives work better when you know anatomy and train.

But no, I currently am not "Armed and Angry" in the sense you kids find so threatening from those loners that you bullied or mistreated.

But the Pen my dear boy, is truly and always will be Mightier than the Sword.

I have caused far more damage to the left with Informational Warfare than I could with any blade or potato cannon(I do own one)

So you could say I am currently Armed, with the Most important weapon of all.
My Mind and Will.

For Knowledge is Power...
However old Albert once said "Imagination is More Important than Knowledge"

Make of my response what you will. But understand I only negotiate when the enemy comes home to find me setting their dinner table with their wife and kids.

So until you see me there, you will know I havent gone as far as I could yet.

The Left has begun to institutionalize and normalize radical violence and hatred against well pretty much half the country.... the half who voted for Trump because they are sick and tired of the authoritarian socialistic programs and rhetoric out of Marxism. The Left are the authoritarians Progressives are waiting for....

I really wouldn't be surprised if this woman recieves death threats by the the hundreds, or thousands.

After her trying to destroy a mans life I suppose it is par for the course. No doubt security for her has been doubled courtesy of the U.S Tax payer. Then again maybe she has a Chinese bodyguard? Nonetheless, the left are sleeping with one eye open. Kind of refreshing ain't it?
Personally I’d rather have the tables turned at the ballot box but there is something ironic about this. She truly is one of those elite who think they have a right to an armed security detail and the rest of us should be subject to her rules. Thus is a problem with all the elites not just those on the Left.... it just happens that right now the Left are enraged and they’ve been stealthily stocking the Democrat Party with Communist and members of DSA. CPUSA is involved in this mire directly thsn before. They’ve gone from endorsing Obama to outright fanning the flames of violence in groups like Antifa.

I hope this person also gets a psych evaluation to determine his mental state. If found to be a danger to himself or others, then he needs to be sequestered until such time as he can be deemed safe to return to civil society.

I'm hoping they psych eval Feinstein.

Absolutely what should be done. The level of discourse cannot get that out of hand. Threats of physical harm and violence have no place in political discourse.
