She's a liberal. If she dies, she dies. Traitor socialist trying to destroy the fabric of our society. They're guilty of treason and the only solution is the final one; round them up and put them in camps.

Good luck with that one, psycho.

Not going to happen.

The next time someone even remotely implies you're an extremist, don't argue, you are.

Camps, really? Reeducation, or kill 'em all?

Funny you say that because it's fairly obvious the poster was having a dig at the conservatives that frequent this board and how extreme they are in their views...

ETA I should add if I called it wrong and the poster is serious well that is a whole other level of crazy that I'm not willing to touch...

The timing of this was too coincidental. The day after Clinton, Holder and the left are called out for terrorist acts and threatening violence, including by Michelle Obama, suddenly this happens?

This sounds like a manufactured situation so that the left can say "but". And, it gives them an excuse to continue pushing violence because "they did it too".

Sources say "attempted to threaten". And, it says it was an email received Sept. 30th, and he was just now arrested. They will not reveal the contents of the email. If I thought this might be a conspiracy, I would suggest that Feinstein dug through her emails yesterday to look for "something" that might be considered a threat, just to reverse the story.

She's a liberal. If she dies, she dies.

And therein lies the problem.

I would like nothing better than for Diane Feinstein to be investigated for leaking Ford's letter, and prosecuted if she's guilty. I would love for her to go back to California and stop pushing her wild and crazy ideology. I would celebrate any Senator who called her out on some of her ideas.

But I do not want her to be harassed, attacked, killed, or injured in any way. Period. That's just plain wrong. She is a US citizen and a Senator in the United States Senate. She apparently carries the ideology of her constituents, who are also Americans. She deserves some respect for that if nothing else.

And even if you can't get to that place... she is also a human being.

Strange that I see so many of those conservatives applauding the fact that a would-be assassin of Feinstein, one of the leading liberals in the Senate, is in jail before he could hurt anyone.

Would it make you feel better if we all protested for him to be released and get his bomb back?

At this point I'm of the belief many of you yanks have simply gone off the deep end, I edited my post just before your post to me as I felt I needed to clarify what I'm saying.

I think much of the rest of the world thinks many Americans have taken a nosedive off the deep end. I know that's the general majority sentiment down here in Oz.

I see the edit now. Other than calling a redneck a yank (which is a legal defense for murder in much of the South), I understand your position.

One reason I wanted to see this story circulated on ATS was that there has been a tendency by many on the left recently to state the right is just as bad as the left. Not only is this a warning sign of the growing propensity for violence in politics, but it is also an opportunity for the conservatives to condemn the loon that thought assassination was a good idea. So far I have not been disappointed.

Under normal circumstances, the right is as bad as the left; but we are not living in normal times.

You have a very moderate view and I find it very agreeable, even though you lean right
I've found myself doing exactly what you describe but not because I think one side is worse but because I see both as bad as each other. I guess the reason why is because in my view the right is making all the noise and my way of creating balance is by pointing that out, however flawed it may be.

Ummm...you've got to be a special kind of someone...to make threats of bodily harm or death over stupid politicians...

I mean...what twisted bondage/imprisonment fetish is such behavior satisfying...?

At least when he has his secret wish fulfilled...he'll get to lavish in the full experience...as someone else holds the keys to his imprisonment...

It's good that these crazies identify themselves...they should have to wear some identifying object out in public...

Perhaps a pink vagina shaped hat....

Oh wait...

I think if you examine the positions more closely, you'll find a substantial difference right now between the left and the right. Much of the left supports people, so anything that attacks that person is wrong and anything that person likes is right. Much of the right supports policy... as, in this case, violence over politics is wrong, no matter who is doing it.

In this case, I would hazard to say both the left and the right would denounce the perpetrator, but for different reasons. The left would denounce him because they want to protect Feinstein. The right would denounce him because they don't believe violence should be a response to political disagreement. Let the same thing happen to a Republican, however, and the right will still maintain its position while the left will not be as energized... different person.

To be honest, while I have adopted the term 'Trump supporter,' I am not really supporting Trump... I am supporting his policies and actions. He is getting results, economically, diplomatically, and domestically. If he were not getting results, or as in the case of our last several Presidents was getting the wrong results, I would no longer support him. I doubt many conservatives would.

That's funny, because I can go into any thread on ATS regarding civil war monuments being removed and see you call for blood and inciting violence because "muh heritage" and now you are supposed to be the voice of reason? What a joke.

Just another "I told ya so" chapter in the unfortunate history of "What you thought would happen if you gave every moron in the world a megaphone versus what actually happens when you give every moron in the world a megaphone" that is the internet.

I'm not sure how you're finding that funny... destruction of public property is not a peaceful means of expression. It is lawlessness, and if the law refuses to address it, people are forced to defend themselves.

Here, I am congratulating law enforcement on upholding the law, and bemoaning that it does not appear to be equally enforced. There is no shift in my position.

Where does the self defense part come in in regards to public property being destroyed?

We have all seem members on the right making the same kinds of comments as roxor just about different issues.

Various levels of gunz. Civil war. Kill em all. My cold dead hands.

The usual stuff

This guy made a threat with a non-existent microphone. Maxipad and many democrat politicians uses a megaphone with a media amplifier to call for violence against people across the isle. Kankles (Hillary) and holder did that just the other day.

Being someone that agrees with Trump gets you a death sentence on the left. Not just a threat.. You get actual led flying your way.. Just ask those trying to play a softball game.

Ya, this guy needs to be locked up but if we use that standard, a lot of democrats including Maxipad would be cooling her heels in a cell right now.
