I should be free to tell you to get the hell out of my country if your ideology does not adhere to the values espoused by the US Constitution.

Free speech. I know you hate it, but you're gonna hafta deal with it.

My father-in-law is far right Republican who is a retired FBI agent. He doesn't think his pension is socialism. It's funny how the people who are most outspoken against socialism are the very same ones who benefit from it the most.

Pensions are socialism?

Since when?

Let's see ... as the mother of a little boy, I just got done watching a pack of screeching harridans tell me I should be willing to throw him overboard for any little girl that comes forward and tells me he's done something bad to her ... without any evidence at all ... even if she tells me five different versions of her story ... no matter how much I know and trust him ... *all* because she and I happen to be girls together.

That’s not what’s happening though. That’s just your perception of events filtered through the political lens you’re choosing to view everything through. There isn’t any attack on men, it’s still highly illegal to make false claims like that against someone, male or female. None of that has changed.

Kavanaugh being accused isn’t anything new. Politicians have always been accused of sexual misdeeds. The only thing different in this case was the spectacle the politicians made it into (I’m looking at you Lindsey Graham) in order to grandstand for your support. That isn’t the fault of the accuser for coming forward, that’s on them. And before you blame it all on the democrats, they were doing what they were expected to do. Oppose a nomination from the other side. The whole thing would have went off without a hitch and probably faded quietly into the next news cycle if not for the screaming of the Republicans on that day.

And when the system is as broke as it is, yes it’s a problem. Personal responsibility can only take you so far when the system and people who direct it aren’t operating in good faith.

One minute video published by the RNC today. A small sample of how irrational and violent Democrats have become.

we are watching a puppet show, the banks are still advancing their agenda, everyone is still advancing their agenda and you guys are all waiting on Q to swoop in from the sky and save you with the secret military intelligence that's helping him give the world back to the people

yikes

I better bang my head off the wall a few times and wake myself up from all this mind control, it's like my brain has been hijacked

You are absolutely right. There are public policies that address this:

www.quandl.com...

But everything else is just a puppet show to preserve the status quo. George Carlin was absolutely right 20 years ago and even more right today: "THERE IS A REASON":

The Constitution doesn't support Socialism nor Marxism. If you understood the Constitution you would know that Socialism and Marxism are unconstitutional.

That is absolutely not true. There is nothing in the Constitution preventing laws from being passed that could be considered to be "socialist" in nature. All military spending is pure socialism.

Like DB said, if you love Socialism and Marxism, just move to a country who already has it. Only way you will get it in the USA is if you destroy the Constitution and that ain't gonna happen?

Telling people to leave who do not share your extremist views is not exactly supporting the Bill of Rights. How far away are you from forcing people to leave by physical force if you are willing to do it with your words.

Ummmm NO! Spending money on the military is NOT socialism. It is being proactive in having a force to protect our country from a foreign attack!
If you recall, it was average American citizens who were armed who defeated the British? Live and learn right?

I am not forcing you to do anything! As far as the bill of rights goes, does that give you and your crew the right to assault people like me? I find it odd how you try to paint me as being violent because of my beliefs yet I haven't tried to prevent anyone from speaking whatever nonsense they want to say. I haven't assaulted anyone because I think they are a Marxist. I haven't marched in public and destroyed public property because I was angry, so where do you get off trying to paint me as being violent when I allow you and everyone else to speak freely and not threaten you for your beliefs?

Stop projecting! I have read Rules for Radicals and very familiar with the tactic!

Abortion is legal. Why is it okay for "your people" to assault "my people". LOL!

I don't care. Politics are a complete waste of time. Fantasy football is more relevant to my life than anything on Faux News.

Which is exactly what the OP is outlining. Perhaps some practice what you preach is in order?

Your misunderstanding of TLDR notwithstanding, you’d probably do well to follow your own advice instead of trying to pin everything on someone else.

You pretty much outlined my exact fear, without balance we as a nation are screwed we cannot have 1 party rule, the republic will never survive it.

I used to say we weren't at the level of animosity that would lead to Civil War because we weren't beating each other nearly to death in the well of the House.

But then Steve Scalise was shot and nearly died because someone disagreed with his politics.

I think we passed that Rubicon.

What's next? Who's going to be all John Brown for the left? Are we going to reach that point? Will there be a Harper's Ferry?

We are way past the rubicon. I no longer see democrats as Americans.

Who is keeping the Republican Party honest? We need the Democrats to keep us in check?

Seriously?

The only problem with Republicans is other Republicans. When Trump started, the party was in turmoil. Tea party, libertarians, never Trumpers, neocons. As he gains momentum, the party is finally starting to get in line. People are starting to get with the program. He has enough traction now to not only get the party behind him but also the voters will increasingly support him. Democrats don't even matter. They can all go to their weekly riots but the only vision that exists is Republican. The Republicans have the only coherent plan. There is no other.

All this communist anarchist stuff will get old quick. It happened in the 60's, it will happen again. 1968 Democratic Convention Chicago. After that, they just started to arrest people. By the thousands, lock them up in a baseball stadium for a few days, then charge all of them. That was the beginning of the end for those clowns. There's no reason they can't do the same with Antifa.

The Democrats are far less organized today then they were back then. There are no clear leaders. There is no Viet Nam for them to rally around. They are a collection of natural enemies with no common interest except anti Trump.

We are looking at destiny. Republicans will end up uniting America and crushing the Democrats.

Now, they're whining because they don't have enough political power through the constitutional means, so the COTUS is flawed. The EC is bad, the Senate system is bad, the SCOTUS is bad, etc.! Nevermind that barely 10 years ago, in 2008, they were the majority in power, using those very same systems they now say are bad, horrible and evil. The very same democrats who want to nuke all these systems today had used them to control 2/3 of the Senate, the presidency, AND the House.

You do realize every time the Republicans control a majority in the Senate they can change the rules at the beginning of the session back the way they used to be before the "evil" Democrats made it so the minority party is all-powerful.

So let me get this straight ...

You are saying that when the Democrats were the majority party ... they changed the rules out of the pure goodness of their hearts so that the Republicans could run roughshod over them, and then they lost elections because people were mad at this and elected Republicans whom they were presumably mad at?

That makes no sense.

But whatever, so those same Republicans who got elected then secretly changed the rules to deny Democrats any power from their own position of minority?

And the press neglected to totally report on this?

Are you the one who was proudly saying you never watch any news? If so, it shows.

So, let's make this really simple. TLDR; Too long, didn't read.

In the usage that you used it, you either meant that
A: That the topic you are responding too is the subject and your opinion of TLDR applies.
OR
B: Everything summarily following the TLDR you remarked applies and that your posting is of a necessary TLDR.

en.wiktionary.org...

I'll leave the "pin everything on someone else" up to the politicians and those who speak for them.

Oh, I see ...

So ignoring committee procedure entirely was a grand gesture on Feinstein's part to allow Lindsay Graham to look good?

Please, you want to accuse someone of being unfit, you do it on grounds on his or her jurisprudence. You don't being up a half-baked scandal at the 11th hour and then let the press run wild claiming it's totally 100% accurate and true like they did.
