Trump allowed Kanye to just talk. There was no script. And allowed the press to be there.

This says a lot about both Trump and Kanye.

Trump trusted him enough to have all press in there for the entire thing. Kanye trusted Trump enough to feel free to speak.

No narrative, no script, no clips....

That's what happens when you get to speak freely and not worry about walking on eggshells. I'm sure this is a weight lifted for Kanye.

I'm not being hypercritical out of nowhere. I wouldn't do that. Google some of the stuff he's done and said over the last few years. There's a pattern there.

Keep in mind that some wildly successful people have no talent. Milli Vinilli comes to mind. Kim Kardashian as well. The crew from Jersey Shore. They may be wildly successful but that doesn't mean thy have talent.

I have heard him speak and have listened to his music. He is eccentric...many highly successful musicians are similar as are many actors. You ever watch Robin Williams on a talk show? Wildly successful, very smart and depressed....also extremely eccentric.
