Harassing people, more so over false claims is not protesting... It is harassing...

Your base, which includes you, don't care about peaceful protests that actually make sense. No, what you want is "your way or the highway," and "your way" seems to be "socialism a la Venezuela."

As for ACLU, it has been hijacked by the far left. ACLU, alongside the rest of the left, have thrown out the presumption of innocence which has been, and continues to be unless you all in the left get your way, an important building block for our judiciary system.

What ACLU is trying to "defend now" is for the left to harass people simple for not being far left. To criminalize people for daring to lean to the right in politics. What ACLU is defending now is that "all far left-wing women have to be believed", even when there is no corroborating evidence to their claims. But when someone on the left is accused, and there is actual evidence proving his/her guilt, the left and ACLU do not want to give the time of day to the real victims.

Harassing people out of restaurants, going to their homes and accosting them because they dare not be "left-wing" doesn't equal to "free speech."

First you should learn what free speech is, and what harassing is. Because it seems neither you, the rest of the left, and the far left in charge of ACLU don't seem to, or don't care to understand the difference.

Can't even visit the White House, other buildings and monuments without a bunch of malcontents screaming, hollering, shouting with bull horns, fighting and crowding out regular folks. I would hate to take grand children there to see their capitol and pieces of history and risk them getting hurt.

So protestors are malcontents now?

Hmm.. we are regressing from what made this country unique and great. It is the opposite of MAGA. But like everything else during this administration, the constitution is like the pirate code - more guidelines than actual rules. Don't mess with our rights!! Unless... they are rights that screw with my opposition, then it's OK to infringe on those rights.

This will be known as the administration of hypocrisy.

This is predictably laughable. The Trump supporters saying "Yea.. I want to be able to walk down the sidewalk, I'm fine with this!" would be up in arms if say, Hillary had won and proposed this. They would be screaming about trampling on our rights, and how this would be a treasonous act.

Hypocrisy is the key component of this current administration. My rights are important until they are rights that my opponent enjoy or wants, then who cares.. they don't matter.

Hi there headline Zombie. If you continue on with the thread, you will notice that these claims have been debunked and the article is pretty much lying with its claims when you actually read the sourced draft proposal by the National Parks service.

If you are ever wondering why people are so polarized, see your own post as the easiest example. Just lapping up horse manure as Gospel.

Even though the article is fake news the protesters are very much stopping on of the fundamental rights of people:

Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness

They are stopping their liberty by blocking access to streets, areas and happiness is being affected by the loud REEEEEEE sounds.

Free Speech Zones have not been declared Unconstitutional by the SCOTUS and they have declined to take the handful of cases in which the ACLU has tried to challenge the law. Once the US experienced terrorism, the playing field changed. After Oklahoma, the Secret Service closed Pennsylvania Avenue to traffic. After 911, they were given further authority to close off areas to foot traffic and restrain protests to designated areas.

You may call it a violation of the first amendment all you like, but the Supreme Court disagrees and their view is the only view that actually matters in the eyes of reality.
