it doesn't get much worse than fake gang rape allegations in the senate committee

But were suppose to ignore it and come together, and hold hands and sing we are 'Muricans.

There is a reason for this. I can go into them but not for now. Let's just say that 50 years of socialist programs have not done much good and are starting to fail things.

Both parties have bloated socialist programs. The left does it in the form of citizen welfare, and the right does it in the form of corporate welfare. Pick your poison.

Obama (who was a horrible president) got called a Muslim African who wasn't even born here, and his wife was called a man.

Again, both sides do it, doesn't make it right, but both sides do it.

Both sides also love to point and say what the other side did was egregious, then they both up the anti and change the rules.

Things have changed. It’s no longer as simple as left vs right, conservative vs liberal. It’s Trumpian style nationalism vs everyone else regardless of political affiliation. The Republican Party isn’t conservative anymore, they’re extreme nationalists.

How do you compromise and find common ground with an ideology that has “no compromise” as one of its tenets? Unity to these people means you join them in being far right, not that you come together in the middle and work out a compromise.

Politics has changed. And I think it’s about time everyone woke up to what it is we’re really seeing. To continue arguing like it’s still “left vs right” “conservative vs liberal” only serves to muddy the waters. Which is what they want.

Please, convince me I’m wrong. I want to be wrong. I wish we could go back to how things were before when both parties compromised for the greater good, but that time is over. In extreme nationalism the greater good is only the ideology. Anything else classifies you as an enemy of the greater good.

How do you find middle ground with that?

I won't ignore it.
I won't forget it or those who entered those vile accusations into the congressional record.
They had the opportunity to handle the accusations behind closed doors and chose broadcast it for the entire planet to see. They made their bed, now they have a problem lying in it? Too bad.
The dems need to clean house. Until they do, I have no time for them.

Terrible things no doubt.

No the article I posted as support says no such thing. Interesting you chose to ignore it. UNPRECEDENTED was the word the WAPO of all publications used. It is in no way equal. Until you admit that there really is no point in discussing this with you.

Yea, that's going to fall on deaf ears.

The left and right consider the opposite side of the isle as enemies trying to destroy THEIR country. LOL. Meanwhile, those two sides are run by the same agenda and fed the money they need to campaign by the same people.

You can point out more similarities than differences and yet the happily self appointed citizen pundits would have you believe everyone on the left is socialist or communist while the inverse would have you believe the right is white supremacist fascists.

The problem here is that the left is now pushing the idea of eliminating a part of the Constitution that doesn't benefit their victory. That's lunacy. They started pushing socialism a few years ago and now they're getting on board with that. Socialism doesn't work in a country this big, it's a dangerous idea. The left try to beat doors down because something isn't going the way they want it to. They look like zombies out there. The opposite side IS trying to destroy my country. I'm not cool with that. How many protests and violence did we see from the right when the opposite side was in control? We fought back with a vote, not violence. The left is becoming a very big problem and a very big danger to this country.

How? How is the party that doesn’t control any branch of government somehow still in control of it?

Quick answer: they aren’t.

You can put the blame on some “shadow” government if you want but that just makes you a useful idiot just like the people on the left that can’t see the writing on the wall.

I agree with you. I am ok with socialism that can exist within the confines of our constitution. Limit the power of the federal government as the constitution states and all will be solved.

Who was the last liberal on a ticket for president? Both parties are shells of what they used to be fighting for the same agenda.

I will give you Trump is an outlier though.

it's more than just the US. Canada and the Philippines, just to name two more are in the exact same boat that i am intimately familiar with. perhaps not quite to the same extent yet, but then they are almost always a little bit behind in such regards, but following the same path. and from what i have been seeing in Europe and Australia, the same seems to be true there as well. in Canada there is Obama 2.0 (Trudeau) currently in charge of the country. with calls going out for a Canadian version of Trump to fix what he is destroying. even make Canada great again is starting to be heard. and some of the exact same issues are being used to tear the country apart on party lines like gun control, illegal aliens, Muslim terrorists, and refugees are becoming huge issues of contention. as well as all the LGBT and abortion stuff. where in the Philippines people on one side have no problems with their political rivals being falsely imprisoned or killed, by the currant leader of the country. as that is making the country into their own image of what they want. so i would say that this is actually a free country issue. where you have those who want tyranny, as long as it's for their ideals, and those who want to keep their freedoms and are starting to fight back to keep them.

I've been in contact with a friend of mine who was born and raised and still lives in Germany. Last year, or the year before, radical left wing parties received so few votes that they were shut down, then left wing parties followed behind them. So add Germany to your list as well. Merkel made her big mistake, according to him, when she tried to allow refugees into the country to look humane but the country turned against her and she quickly retracted everything.

The news has absolutely been negative towards Trump.

I'd be willing to bet more people watch the news as they always run salacious stories while ignoring real ones.

That said Trump is their savior, he is a gold mine for them.

But let's not ignore this is the man who coined the phrase "no publicity is bad publicity", it's what won him the election. It is estimated he got 4~ billion in free coverage leading up to the election.

It's a two lane road in this case, you can't bite the hand that fed you his victory.

Who cares who the last liberal on a ticket was? That’s neither here nor now. What we have now is an ideology in power that believes all other ideologies are the enemy and should never be compromised with.

Again, how do you compromise with that?

None of that has anything to do with what I’m talking about. Unless Obama is still president or Hillary won the last election.

oh pardon me I linked the wrong article
www.washingtonpost.com... 33d8

The mainstream-media critics over at the Media Research Center have been evaluating “evaluative” statements about President Trump on the three main nightly newscasts — ABC’s “World News Tonight,” “CBS Evening News” and “NBC Nightly News.” Over the summer — June, July and August — 91 percent of such statements have been negative, as opposed to 9 percent positive, the organization has determined. “Analyzing the networks’ spin makes it clear that the goal of all of this heavy coverage is not to promote the President, but to punish him,”

so yes, even the WAPO acknowledges an issue with the media.
With respect to media coverage, it is in NO WAY equal to the treatment obama got.

Great Post. I've been saying this constantly. The left will only grow in proportion to the right. The other side will not be denied. The only thing being accomplished is that the u.s. is becoming more polar.

When you see ATS become filled with partisan threads, you know something is wrong..One of the largest conspiracy websites is now engulfed in this partisan madness.
