You are correct to a point. I have to choose. Uphold the Constitution or watch it be tampered with. The Democratic party is no longer the party of John F. Kennedy or Hubert Humphrey. It has gone left and become socialist/Marxist. You can't deny it. There is globalist influence written all over it. Some Republicans are following as well but are not as outspoken.
Antifa in Portland Oregon are attacking people on the streets. Some of the attacked are older people. These Marxist thugs are carrying night sticks and hitting cars with them and I imagine if rebuked verbally would hit people.

There is evidence that Communist China has taken out ads in Iowa for the Democratic party. Google was looking at how they censor their internet and how its application in the US may be beneficial. Come on. How they are acting is beyond the pale. SO YES I AM CHOOSING A SIDE because the Democrats idea for America has failed in Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Sweden and Central America. Marxism is a failed experiment. So if they continue their smear tactics, control of most of the media, threaten conservative people or hurt our President it becomes civil war. All I have to say is this< " Praise the Lord and Pass the ammunition!!!

Ok, what if I took your right to vote away because you don't fit my "merits" system? Would you be ok with that? I doubt you would be ok with it because it's your rights being taken away and not someone else's.

But I do find it interesting how you guys are now entertaining the idea of taking other people's vote away simply because they disagree with you politically.

Are you guys really this blind to your own conditioning by the media and government over the past few years? They're turning you guys into extremists willing to trample over others' rights simply because you disagree with them. Nice.

And you here as the (unreliable) narrator to point it out to everyone while pretending to be above the fray.

When you stand for nothing, as you profess to, you fall for anything.

You summed up a lot of the reasons why the left want to make gun restrictions.

We start going down this road and the patriot act will look like a joke.

I didn't say I was, but I am saying that much like with marriage, some things aren't a fundamental right.

You do not get to vote simply because you draw breath. We do set limits on who can and can't vote. It happens all the time.

5-year-olds don't get to vote, for example. We don't allow convicted murderers or rapists to vote from behind bars either.

I live within 20 miles of a state line. I don't get to vote in one state and drive across the border to vote in the next state.

People who live here and are not citizens don't get to vote until they become legal citizens.

Source it then, smart guy. Show me where the Constitution guarantees voting rights outside of the handful of protected statuses I already mentioned. Flex that knowledge on me.

You funny.

Kool Aid has been drunk, brains have been extracted through nostrils, you aren't gonna un-convert the converts.

Although I do like to see the replies of, 'I sorta agree, both parties suck but my party sucks slightly less so they are the good guys, her-dur.'

Beautiful loam!!! Could not have said it better. We are finally at the zenith in which the likes of Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky and more recently Obama started. This will not end well. There will ultimately be bloodshed. The left cannot win this one. They will open the biggest can of whoop ass imaginable.

Haha thanks.

Both parties are socialists. One likes bloated spending on social welfare programs and the other likes it on corporate welfare programs. They both like losing wars, but the both love wrapping their "constituents" in their fingers.

Citizens are even pundits for them, the other side always thinks they're paid shills... Nope, they just love reciting the script.

Personally, I think the Founders were on to something with the notion that you shouldn't vote unless you pay into the Federal Tax till and are fully aware of it, not paying just the hidden taxes.

I think we either reserve it for people who pay income tax liability or change the system so that everyone pays at least some Federal income tax, even the poorest, unless they opt out, but if they opt out, they lose their national franchise until they can show Federal tax receipts for a period of not less than four consecutive years.

States, of course, can do as they choose for their state elections.

In that case should a president be required to show their tax refunds? If you have to show your tax records to vote then why shouldn't the president prove that he is eligible to become president by paying his fair share of taxes?

But let's continue trying to justify the idea that someone's vote should be taken away. Let's see how far we can take it.

Isn't voting one of the liberties given to us here in America? Read the first part of the Constitution.

So that means corporations who don't pay their taxes can't lobby or contribute to campaigns, right?

Fat chance. You think either party would vote for that if it meant true equality across the board? Doubtful.

Ah, so you don't disagree with me on anything seeing as I don't hold any positions? What are you here arguing with me for then? If I didn't hold any positions then you wouldn't feel the need to argue against them constantly. Obviously I do have a position, it's just a position you seem to not want to consider as viable.

Ok, well when you are found to not meet the "merits" don't come crying about it back here.

I wonder what you would think if Nancy Pelosi or any other Democrat suggested the same as you? I have a feeling you'd be fighting the idea like it were the plague, but since you feel like you'd meet those merits then other people be damned.

By the way, what would the merits in this system look like? What qualifies someone to meet the requirements?

Ah more droppings from above the fray.
How refreshing.
Invertebrates pretending to be able to take a position is as amusing as watching the monkeys at the zoo throw their poo.
