President Trump has accepted Nikki Haley's resignation as UN Ambassador, according to two sources briefed on their conversation. The timing of her departure is still unclear.

Watching some news about this right now.

Will be interested to see what the reasoning is. Kinda thinking there is a health reason personally. She has been looking a little gaunt the last few times I have seen her.

Could be. Whatever the reason, I'm thinking this is something that that has been in the works and they waited until after the Kavanaugh confirmation.

Well they reported they met a week ago. Wouldn't be surprised if they pushed it to after the confirmation regardless of the reason.

Nikki Haley was a great Ambassador.

Trump just tweeted "big announcement coming up with Nikki Haley at 10:30". Hm..with that wording i wonder if she's up for another position opening soon.

Hopefully it's something good, like Pence is planning to retire after the 1st term and she's gonna be the new VP candidate.

She is one of my favorite people in the administration.

Only reason not to that I could think of is possibly a bigger position for her....maybe didnt want to take away from her being appointed to a more visible position by overshadowing it with the Kav conformation.

Not sure, but it wouldn't be the first time Trump appointed someone to a role that they seemingly didnt fit in.

Just conjecture though.....

It just seems that the tweet Ttump sent out makes this more of a positive than a negative move....
