Pope blames devil for Church woes, seeks angel’s help!

Wow! Really? So Satan is real?

VATICAN CITY: The devil is alive and well and working overtime to undermine the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis says. In fact, the pope is so convinced that Satan is to blame for the sexual abuse crisis and deep divisions racking the Church that he has asked Catholics around the world to recite a special prayer every day in October to try to beat him back.

“(The Church must be) saved from the attacks of the malign one, the great accuser and at the same time be made ever more aware of its guilt, its mistakes, and abuses committed in the present and the past,” Francis said in a message on September 29.

Since he was elected in 2013, Francis has made clear that he believes the devil to be real. In a document in April on holiness in the modern world, Francis mentioned the devil more than a dozen times.

And the pope is so convinced that Mr Devil aka Lord Satan is real that he has blamed the poor sod for the sexual abuse scandals and the divisions within the Church and has even enlisted the aid of St Michael the Archangel to smite him!! Huh? Nice way of finding a scapegoat for the shenanigans of the priests!!

And Catholics around the world are being asked to recite the rosary daily in October and conclude it with a prayer to St Michael. So start praying.....Your time starts now!! Or be prepared for purgatory to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven!!

Seriously folks, this is getting bizarre! I really dunno whether to laugh or cry at the pope's beliefs!

Context before identity, but is Evil a thing, or a tendency?

Maybe they should stop venerating statues (inanimate objects), praying to dead saints for "guidance" (unbiblical), and START praying DIRECTLY to God (as commanded)? Mary is NOT a part of the trinity, or equal to Christ, and certainly not a "mediator" between man and God, or "queen of Heaven." Jesus said the gates of Hell shall NOT prevail against his church (Matt. 16:18), yet here we see with Catholicism, that it IS.

Jeremiah 7:18 - "The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger."

I have no shame in admitting I’m Catholic but I’m also one of those that believes that a personal connection with god is more important than warming the pews every weekend. I don’t agree with many actions of the church but they are after all run by man and thus fallible, to blame it on evil is disengenious IMO.

Only way to deal with it effectively is tell the truth, open the archives, apologise, and implement a policy to stop it ever happening again

Oh boy would I like to be a fly on the wall of the Vatican archives...

In my opinion the Vatican archives hold secrets that would blow many theories to total smithereens...

Open them up I say and let them accept the consequences of using religion and bowing down to a (in my opinion) "pretend" entity that only has mankind’s well-being at heart.
