In the coming days, we're going to try out Gordi's soup recipe he shared! We did make one ingredient alteration by choice and one by necessity -- hubby hates lentils, so we swapped the protein source from lentils to chicken breast, and I can't find the ham bullion (or anything pork stock/broth/etc) anywhere, so were using 100% chicken broth instead of 50/50 chicken bullion/ham bullion.

I guess technically not the same soup since we made 2 changes, but chicken, barley and parsnip soup sure does sound pretty tasty

Hahaha, I love this one, it cracks me up every single time XD

Alexa: "A Mudcrab scuttles toward you--"
Dude: "Fus Ro Dah!"
Alexa: "I didn't catch that."
Dude: "Fus Ro Dah!"
Alexa: "I didn't quite catch that."
Dude: "FUS RO DAH!!" < knocks stuff off coffee table >
Alexa: "Your shout echoes all the way to Sovngarde."
Wife: "What...happened?"
Dude: "Fus Ro Dah. It's the command for knocking things over."
Wife: "Is there a command for picking s# up?"
Dude: "I haven't reached that level yet!"

XD
edit on 11/2/2018 by Nyiah because: Spelled Sovngarde right, misspelled Fus Ro Dah. Go figure.

The guy is a good actor. I recognised him immediately. I saw him in Keanu. Hilarious. A movie about a kitten.

Trailer at link.

He looked so familiar and I couldn't think of the name of that movie. It was "Keanu"...and you're right, it was hilarious.

Why the open house tomorrow? Are they trying to sell your building or something? Just curious. As for cleaning? Pffft.... You're a woman. Women are always clean in their household. It's frankly unnerving to some dirty, lazy men...

I live in a basement apartment in a house and the landlord is selling the house...that's why there is an open house tomorrow.

I'm tidy because it's just me here and I don't really do much to make a mess.

The upstairs level is rented to a man with two sons and it took some cleaning ladies two full days to clean up his unit, so I guess some men are a little...messy? (lol)

I know some pretty messy/dirty women too though, so I don't think it's just men.

So what will you do or where will you go if he sells? Will you automatically get a new dwelling? (I live with 5 guys. At least 4 of them never clean anything. So now I don't clean anything either except my own single room.)

I don't know where I will go if I have to leave. There is a housing shortage here with waiting lists of about 6 years.
I was extremely lucky to get this place.
I joke about sleeping in my car, but with winter coming its stressing me out pretty bad.

Good Evening Sheddies.
I've had a (relatively) busy week at work, and fulfilled my parental duties (2 sets of rugby training tonight) and am now "relaxing" with a nice bottle (or 2) of Red.

Who'd like a glass?

No...I realize this is very out of character for you.

Next thing you know you'll be wearing a kilt and carving wooden mushrooms.
