1.5 degree rise in body temp would kill you, just like it would kill the earth!

Our planet has been through much bigger global temperature swings since long before humans were around. The party of science, but if the science doesn't back up our crazy ideology you can just ignore it.

The models they use to predict this stuff are constantly being thrown in the garbage for being wrong.

Do you think it happened this quick though? Do you think maybe life had time to evolve with the temperature rise. Why is the Great Barrier Reef that I live beside dying? why is it almost dead? why are all the fish that use to be in the ocean beside my house gone?

Actually, the models are recycled... all a model is, is a set of equations used to try and determine the mathematical relationships between the different system inputs through trial and error. They're kinda supposed to be wrong, at least at first. Scientists then revise them and try again until they get it right.

They just haven't gotten them right yet. They will someday.

Interesting questions. There is some silver lining to this thread though.

Humanity cannot destroy earth, we could just put a few temporary scars on her.

Worst case scenario is that humans die off and in a few thousand years everything goes back to normal.

Just a cosmic blink in the grand scheme of things, really just a hiccup.

Well, if other Americans are willing to go bring freedom to them that's cool...

I've heard their internet is garbage though, so I will not be going on that freedom escapade. I realize that I'm too pampered and spoiled, but self awareness is the first step towards enlightenment.
