From a Purely Christian point of view....Democrats, Your arms are too short to box with God, now go home and repent.

MSM medias purpose was to provide an image of legitimacy/credibility on policy decisions which a majority of Americans (Right or Left) opposed.

It is not true that when Bush was in office the majority of Americans supported starting the Iraq war, Patriot Act and Torture.

It is not true that when Obama was in office the majority of Americans supported Obama Care passage.

If CNN is admitting the republicans may be surging in the polls it is because people are already working on corrupting the incoming R candidates or some of the incoming R candidates are already well corrupted.

Typical far right bible banger.

I'll put my faith in someone that's actually real, a real life prophet.....like Maxine waters or the honorable diane, queen of the damned, Feinstein.

Hell, diane is older than jesus at this point, she used to steal his lunch shackles back in primary.

Surge was never used to describe the rise in polls, bounce was. Oh boy!

For CNN to admit it ,bounce was enough, they shudder at the thought of a surge

Only surge I've seen the last month is the amount if sane people exiting the Democratic tent.

Won't be anyone else there soon but the clowns.

😀

You missed it
The sane folks in the Democratic Party ARE the Democrats
They are distancing themselves from the Liberals that have infested their Party.
They need some "pest control" to remove them and place them back into wild

I didn't miss anything.

An actual Democrat (Liberal) no longer has a party... it has been taken over by Progressives.

So they are stuck with the label but are no longer a part of the party anymore.

The party has disconnected from the base, which still votes for something that is no longer there.

When CNN admits a truth like this, it's SOLELY for the purpose of firing up Democrats, ahead of an election. About 1 week before the election, CNN will report FAKE NEWS, using FAKE POLLS (like 2016), declaring that Democrat candidates are SURGING nationwide.

Hopefully there are more smart/savvy Democrats this election, than there were in 2016. Out of disgust, they will either vote Republican, 3rd Party, or stay home.

Funny little link, isn't it.
No actual linking to CNN or anything...and mostly suggesting that red states are leaning red.

Ahh the echo chamber around here...if there is a blue wave, I look forward to watching the 2 year meltdown

It has certainly invigorated me more than ever and I've been historically rather apolitical when it comes to voting. If any group has displayed a temperament unfit for power these last few days, months, years - it is the left.

How'd we get to this point where the goddamn GOP is somehow now the saner option? May all gods true and false have mercy on our souls.

We've seen the 2 year meltdown. Let us hope it is not repeated.

The only bounce I've seen in the polls is the Republicans bouncing back to where they were in early September. They still haven't managed to close the enthusiasm gap and there's indications that Kavanaugh's acceptance will only serve to widen the gap.

So while the Republicans can point to North Dakota and say they're surging, a Democrat could point to West Virginia and say the same thing. In the end the Dems have about a 75% chance to take the House, while the Republicans have the same chance to retain the Senate.

I'm not a republican and didn't vote for Donny.

However, the Left has gone into full retard mode and making it tempting to vote for the Donald. If not for the win at least to see how far into the retard zone the left can continue to push the limits too.

The GOP and DNC are both riddled with swamp creatures but the left in your face strategy to handle racism, sexism, and intolerance has been anything but productive within the last 2 decades. In reality they have been the problem when it comes to racism, sexism, and tolerance.

In a perfect world I would be a social moderate and fiscal Conservative. Sadly, I keep getting pushed right because while Republicans are gutless and annoying the Democrats are actually a danger to personal liberty and the Bill of Rights.

Beautifully stated, Metallicus. If nothing else, I see the Democrats, which I used to belong to, as a serious threat to our basic social structure and as you stated personal liberties and threatening to the Bill of Rights.

I don't see the Republicans as anything ethical, but they are not going to actually destroy the country anytime soon. The democrats are forcing anyone with an ounce of common sense to walk away. You would think they would at least pretend to have some other agenda than divisiveness and identity politics. Their strategy seems to be nothing more than being reactionary, in a emotional, illogical way. It's 100% negativity, I find it exhausting.

Here's the way I see things right now:

The Republicans are like a family of cockroaches living in your house. The Democrats are like a swarm of starving, ravenous, diseased rats covering every inch of the floor. They are feeding off each other.... the rats are surviving by eating the cockroaches, and the cockroaches are surviving by eating the dead rats.

I want to clean up the house. I don't want either of them there, because I'm not a rat or a cockroach. I want no more rats and no more cockroaches. But if I start off by poisoning the cockroaches, the rats will eat me alive. So the first step is to kill off the rats, then I can take care of the cockroaches.

I keep reading these threads and see people saying we should ignore the rats and just poison the cockroaches... and I literally wonder at their sanity, as their suggestion is suicide.

It is telling when someone as rat-loving as CNN says that people are agreeing we should kill the rats first. That could mean that the rats are so far out of control that even other rats are admitting there is a problem. I don't think so, though. Likely, it's meant to get the rat lovers so upset they come to the aid of the rats and loudly point out that the cockroaches are there.

We have just gone through a major revelation in this country. We all saw someone who was more than likely innocent being destroyed with false charges of sexual abuse. No real evidence, other than the testimony of one person who not only delayed her testimony but also then refused to turn over any corroborating evidence she claimed to have had and could not corroborate her story even using her friends. We saw another person, aided by the Creepy Porn Lawyer Michael Avanetti, go even farther, accusing this man of being some sort of rape kingpin in high school using a story so full of logical holes it would make a wheel of Swiss cheese jealous.

That is wrong. Period. There is no way to spin that to make it right.

But it is also dangerous... and I think the American people know it. It smacks of the KGB showing up in the middle of the night to drag someone off to Siberia over an accusation. It reeks of the Spanish Inquisition. It smells of the Salem Witch Trials. And the odor is extremely reminiscent of McCarthyism. Of course the Republicans who oppose this are surging in the polls!

Here's the bottom line, as I see it. The Kavanaugh hearings have destroyed any chances of a Democratic Senate in January. The House seems to have escaped the scrutiny, since they were far from front and center during it. The Democrats still hold an advantage there, according to the polls. But... one does not vote for the Senate one day and the House the next. When someone disgusted enough with the Democrats looks down at that ballot and votes to keep the Senate Republican, they will also make that same decision for the House. At that time, when the ballot ties everything together, what are the chances they will decide to simply abandon the entire party in all national races?

I think it's pretty good.

The steadfast Democrats will vote Democrat. The hardened Republicans will vote Republican. The actual results will, as always, be chosen by the Independents... and it is that demographic that seems to be the most upset with the Kavanaugh fiasco. History may be on the side of the Democrats, enthusiasm may be on the side of the Democrats, but history and enthusiasm don't tip the scales; the votes of the Independents do. Come next month, we'll see how that works out.

I personally am expecting a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth. Your mileage may vary.

We’re not just seeing it in the private polls, it does seem in some of the public polls as well,

Why dont the private and public polls roughly say the same things? What is the significance of pointing out their differences?

And based on the wording it also sounds like the private pools are more fine tuned to predict election outcome and the public polls are not... they somehow lag reality.

Now the dems are upset because the public propaganda polls are also starting to see the bounce they've been seeing in their more accurate private polls.

They'll distance themselves from the whole Kavanaugh debacle and focus on something else within a week. Still plenty of time for some more controversy before November hits.

I think they forgot to give Pelosi the memo on dropping the Kavanaugh thing.

That's a big deal because it represents people being more comfortable in their opposition to the democratic parties tactics. Once people no longer fear but instead oppose the guilty before innocence and defining of every disagreed with act as some form of ism to paint someone with they're screwed.

Frankly people are beginning to have had enough and open opposition is growing. Kavenaugh might be the straw that broke the camel's back. Old habits die hard though so I expect some will double down. Others will see the way the tide is turning and jump ship. Many will place blame on each other and some will stand there like a deer in headlights not sure what to do and what it means.

There was a 8 year meltdown before the last 2 year meltdown.
we are in a endless meltdown loop now until we get the most dull middle of the road leadership that the news ultimately forgets about....
But then again, people will just find something else to melt down about.
We are bored in the west...looking for anything to fuss over.

Kavanaugh is already yesterdays news. Look how fast the threads about him just dissolved.
People have short attention spans.
