The only episode I've ever watched was one where he died and resurrected himself.

Very long time ago.

SJW windbags would be my guess...

I am not a 'y'all' I am an individual with my own opinions and judgements gleaned from life's experiences.

You’ll have to forgive me I’m but a simple country bumpkin. Seriously did you think I was singling you out, it was a blanket statement you’re entitled to your stinky arsehole opinion...

You are the expert on stinky arsehole opinions, not I.

Thou hast truly wounded me with thy unbound intellect.🙄

I'm sure it went over your head.

No doubt you have truly left me dumbfounded.

i dont think his main trait is being a womanizer..which i think still is a bit misleading word to define him.

Dr. Who should never have been a woman to begin with. By doing that, they violate the established canon of the series. They may create a kick ass female character, but she's not Dr. Who.

What are you on about? There have been female time lords since the 70s...Romana, for instance? That time Lady judge who put the Doc on trial as well, plus a few more. I can't remember a time when it was canon for the regenerating, face changing, two hearted alien to be prohibited from being female in appearance

Yes, there have, and I pointed that out, but Dr. Who is *not* a female Time Lord. He is a he. Romana was a she. Are you arguing that Romana was a he too?

The argument is that for Time Lords, biological sex is fixed or has been understand by canon to be. So when they regenerate, they will be either male or female but could be any variation of male or female. So Dr. Who is male and will be male across his regeneration no matter what else he looks like - young, old, diabetic Napelese yak herder ...

Romana, likewise, is female and will be female across her regenerations no matter what else she looks like - young old, white, black, purple with green spots ... Heck in the couple of seasons she was on the show, Romana regenerated several times like she was trying on new outfits ... and, always female!

Dr. Who.

It was either a movie or episode. I can't remember.

It does kind of define him, since he was orphaned and, the one time he got married, his wife was killed, so it gave Bond a sort of attachment complex, whereby he was afraid to become attached less he be left alone and heartbroken again. Those experiences sort of made him into who he was.

I wouldn't mind having one of them sonic screwdrivers.

They could come in handy.

if being a womanizer is this...a woman can have it much more better and easily.

I've never seen any reference to the fixed gender of a time lord. Nowhere, can you show a link?

(Now, I admit, it is nothing I gave any thought to as a kid, watching the show, but I honestly can't remember any occasion when anyone said timelords are always the same gender, and, as I pointed out, the Master regenerated into Missy previously, so there is a precedent already.

Again, it depends on if you go from the idea of Bond as a single person - an actual James Bond - which you clearly are, or "Bond" as a designation - there is no actual man named James Bond, or if there was, he's no longer in service, but we're using his legend as a designation because our enemies fear it.

The only real way I can reconcile how Lazenby, Moore, Connery, Dalton, Brosnan, and Craig are all supposed to be James Bond given how they look physically is to say that if one of them ever was the "real" man James Bond, then not all of them can be, so at some point, the real one retired/died/stepped off and MI-6 decided to keep the name for it's next best 00 agent, sort of to keep the legend alive.

Otherwise, it's too ridiculous. They all look to different.

Then she would be Jane Bond

There is actually more latitude to make that argument.

How?

James Bond is a fictional representation of for the lack of a better example.

A womanizing male slut.

Those epic names of women villains, Money Penny simply would'nt work.

When the first James Bond was written his character traits and actions were created/considered as to how a single (no ties) intel military, manly man might be portrayed for that era. (1953. It seems the writers carried over all those character's traits into our time now, but the fact is he is a military intel warrior, so the sky's the limit.

That's just it. It doesn't have to be new and creative.

They introduced the Doctor's cloned daughter. There was a lot of fan buzz around that character. Why not use her? She could be a brand new Time Lord all on her own.

And there would be lots of room for character development. Coming to terms with the power and what responsibilities are chosen. Seeing the old universe with a fresh mind?

Casino Royale (comedy Bond) was the type you are referring to.
Fleming wrote Bond as 1 man and the new films are just rebooting of some of the old stories.

Yes, the actors don't all have black hair and a scar, like the book Bond, but we all know it is the same man.
