Twitter #Shadowban Anyone else have this happen?

So...I have been tweeting a bit lately...more than usual and mostly about the Kavanaugh stuff.

Suddenly last night this happened:



And I had to go through a captcha and a phone text to get it unlocked:



Now....I began posting again once unlocked. And suddenly I was getting no responses when previously I was getting them quite a bit.

So I checked with a couple people and a website....and sure enough i have been shadowbanned.



I am actually really confused.

I am by no means a big name or anything on Twitter so not really even sure how this happened.

My main reason for posting this is because if it can happen to me....then it is likely happening to a LOT of people with support for the GOP.

Anyone else here have this happen? I had an unusual comment on a post I made here a couple days ago....user said I was getting a lot of attention....was odd enough I screenshot it.

Wondering if others on ATS are having this type of thing happen.

Yup. It's censorship right in front of our eyes. I don't know what "requirements" they're following to ban people, since I don't usually tweet anything, just read people.

So @Twitter sent an unsolicited email explaining THEY would delete the “offending” tweet for which I was locked out and which I refused to delete. As a conservative I am not about to walk on eggshells because of Twitter’s bias or liberal insanity in general.

Here's the meme that made him get banned.

So...this thread is in a forum that produces auto tweets for the ATS account. I just posted a response on Twitter.

Can anyone here with Twitter see this?

Yeah...I have followed that story a bit.

Kinda crazy they locked his account over that when I have seen FAR worse over Trump posts and even calls for violence over the latest Kavanaugh stuff.

When you tap start Google may collect and use information about you

... I know Google does this whether they ask you or not.

But some things doesn't sit right with this way of verifying your account.

Why even use Twitter?

You don't have to be a big name for this to happen. Twitter does it everyday to thousands of people.

I've been shadowbanned since April ( I test this every few weeks.) And I've gone through the same account locking nonsense that you pictured abive a few times.

All for having conservative views. No profanity, threats, nudity. Just memes mostly.

Yep...had to color my number out but this was the second step before unlock.

By confirming with his cell phone, he just gave away his actual identity.

Scary if you ask me.

Well that is really odd....I literally have posted nothing that would threaten anyone.....that would likely be a ban offense.

There was a story on one of my blogs about this. PJ I think. They highlighted six conservative accounts that hadn't really done anything that were suddenly locked, and there were no reasons given as to how the accounts were in violation of rules.

When the account holders challenged the suspensions through proper channels asking for why mainly so they could avoid doing it again, they were perma-banned then.

I don't want to freak you out, but this has little to do with whether you're important. The truth is, data like this goes many places and gets used for many reasons. For example in pre-employment checks....

So this is the odd post I got on Oct 3....I actually sent a PM to Springer to ask if he knew this user or had ever interacted with them.



Just struck me as odd. And when I questioned it there was a quick response that it wasnt what they meant.

Right after that was when the Twitter shadowban stuff started.

Wondering if we have some Twits here that are monitoring.
