The Dems will take the House in November - the odds are just too stacked against Republicans... nearly all the battleground states are Republican held... they'd have to win around 80% of them to maintain a majority.

Senate is different - I think the Senate will remain Red - which will at least keep a check on the House which WILL be radicalised under Dem leadership.

Now why would you want to shoot yourself in the foot. I shudder to think that socialist/communist leaning democrats could even possibly get power but if that is what you want so be it.

After this dog and pony show the only way Democrats win anything is their busing of illegals to vote three to four times. LOL. Real Democrats are fleeing to pulling the red lever in droves. This is no longer the Democratic party of John F. Kennedy or Hubert Humphrey.

If they take the house which I fully expect them to do then you can expect actions against him.
If they gain in the senate expect them to impeach him.

PS These threads are really boring without liberals participating and I see fewer and fewer liberals participating these days.

The only action the Congress can take against Kavanaugh is to impeach him. That requires a 2/3 supermajority in the House... not very likely, even in most Democratic wet dreams. If the House does manage to impeach him, the Senate can then remove him with a 2/3 supermajority... which is literally impossible for the Democrats to attain.

You really should look into how the government actually works, Silly.

That's because most of them have either abandoned the party in shame or realize the game is over.

That's the part that upsets me about this... we certainly do need another party!

Unfortunately, the DNC is doubling down on their suicide attempt.

TheRedneck

Right now the DNC reminds me of the guys who used to sit behind us at football games. We used to get so annoyed at them. Nothing they ever did was positive.

They were either ticked off at the team they were supposed to be supporting or shouting trash at the other team, like wishing they'd get hurt or something else equally negative.

With guys like that on your side, who needs enemies? Sometimes, it feels like the entire DNC base is filled with people like that. They don't seem to care about advancing their cause and ideas as much as spewing out negativity in any general direction.

It does remind one of a college football game...

I think a lot of the problem is that the DNC doesn't have much to cheer for. Their only push for two years has been negativity towards one man and an irrational desire to stop anything from getting done. That's why they have moved toward Fascist tactics... they fit with the agenda.

You wish.

The principal is that both parties are utterly corrupt. They use wedge issues to manipulate us into hating one another over stuff that doesn't matter. Meanwhile, their kids attend the same private schools, they join the same country clubs and so on. Washington is a cancer, and has been since Kennedy. Congress, in particular, is comprised of the most evil men and women to ever walk the planet earth. Utter liars who pretend to hate one another while Fning over the rest of us every chance they get.

Idealogues like you will gamely play along because you need a team affiliation to survive. A small percentage of us are creeped out by the concept of affiliation and see right through your game. Bitch McConnel is Hillary Clinton. They both suck at our necks like ticks and spend us unto oblivion. They don't deserve my loyalty.

There was a good point at Power Line though.

Look at issues. Right now health care is one of the big ones, and it breaks hard against Republicans. Democrats could be using that, but they're creating this Kavanaugh issue and it's not working like they thought it would.

Why create a negative, divisive issue like that when you have a ready-made one like health care? Of course, I think they also know that the one solution they want - single payer - still doesn't play well with the majority of people who just got big-time burned with the last government attempt to control health care. Health care is an issue, yes, but how people will respond to solutions proposed is another thing.

Fewer liberals are participating because even they are ashamed of the snip they have been saying for 2 years. The only liberals left are the real nutjobs.

By the way, you don't need the Senate to impeach. Impeachment is a House decision. The Senate runs the trial and it takes 2/3 votes to actually remove a public official It's not possible for the Dems to get 2/3 of the Senate in November - or even close.

I agree with you. Anything I can do to piss off the crazy ass right wingers is the right way to go.
They talk trash and attack way more than any people on the left. They remind me of mindless piranhas.
Totally vicious!

If you need me to help you find a safe space, just holla.

And if you need help crafting more cliché right wing comebacks, let me know.

I'm good sparky, but I sure will let you know if I need to spew some CNN talking points. I know you are good for some of that action.

it seems the ones on the left who had integrity and brains, have realized how awful the left has become. And it seems the slimy ones are embracing it. Ignorance and hubris seem to be the order of the day in liberal land. Seeing that fail will be something almost everyone can get behind. (except for the low information slime bags)

I'm voting Democrat full ticket, just to piss off the right wingers. Not like it matters the corporations have both parties bought and paid for.

Those "Right Wingers" will probably disappoint your presumed expectations.
Getting mad over how people vote, attempting to shame people, insult or ridicule them based on their Vote has been behaviour seen only as an Exclusively from the left wing.

You see when "Right WIngers" lose an election we dont blame the voters, and we dont blame other countries.
We blame our own platform, we blame our Marketing strategy for being flawed, we figure out what we failed to do or where we went wrong with our own candidates or overall message.

But hey, if you want to take one of the historically most fought for RIGHTS and use it selfishly to act out some passive aggressive tantrum...Be my guest.

I would personally recommend just getting yyour angst out trolling some boards, or log into your games and get it out of your system,
But I can see rather than take a RIGHT you have that has Powerful historic significance and reduce it to a child's toy, just dont be surprised if someone points out how childish and immature that IS and Makes you LOOK.

Especially in a forum with public content.
that hurts only your credibility.
Example: anything you say politically from here on out could be disregarded as non valid simply because you yourself declared that you only vote not to help better this country or for any well thought out reason but only for the purpose of turning it into a rock to throw at the other kid.

unless of course you want to make a new statement and retract this one?

cause I already bookmarked your comment. in case I ever feel the petty need to use my Posting power as a bat to knock you down in the Future.
just sayin....

This country actually does need an opposition party.

I was thinking that if the DNC collapses we should give the Vacuum to the Independents... seems they could use a turn.

If you are "Creeped" out by signing a registration card I would recommend seeing a psychiatrist.
you are not doing a good job of "selling" your implied lone ranger stance by being "creeped" out by concepts of team efforts.

it makes you look like a basement dweller at grandmas with pasty skin and a social awkwardness that probably has gotten you singled out more than a few times, which I am sure perpetuates the vicious cycle that makes you feel isolated while posting on message boards a false claim that your solitude is "self imposed".

Calling people Idealogues and assuming their affiliation has anything to do with their ability to survive is a Logical Fallacy based on Arguments made from Ignorance.

but you "Gamely" needed to show off your pretense at knowledge, which was an error of judgement....

Probably because they see the whole ordeal for what it is, a psyop to radicalize both sides of the spectrum. Democrat this Republican that, blah blah blah.

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.

-John Adams

And here you guys are playing right into their game of divide and conquer. That includes the radical left as well.

Sad part is you guys are watering at the mouth for new developments in this whole charade, hoping to God you have yet another notch the put up on your board, never stepping back and realizing that your tribalism is being used against you.

If the 2016 taught us anything is that no one can predict how the population will vote.

Politicians will play their games, speak in false truths, and make promises that they can not hope to uphold.

And with midterms, it is not all about the workings of congress, but how the President is viewed.
