I live in a so called bellweather state when it comes to US politics. Missouri. Missouri is a oddball place, it has eastern, midwestern, and southern aspects to its culture. As well as quite a large African American voting block.

I am personally conservative but was into alot of sex, drugs, and rock n roll when I was younger so the vast majority of my social media people are left wing, some of them VERY left wing. I rarely bring up politics with them as its like arguing with a child. I am sure some of them would say the same about me.

Onto the point though, I see ZERO enthusiasm from them - none - in regard to the latest DNC push for votes by slandering Judge K. NONE. As a matter of fact I think some of them are secretly kind of annoyed by it as normally they can't help but post the DNC and Soros approved memes. I see none. As a matter of fact I haven't even seen any from my communist cousin up in New York state.

Judge K will get his job.

There will be no blue wave. I do not care what any poll says. The left agit prop types have lost their minds and no one likes insane people. You can pretend all you want that these protesters are making people come around, but they are really quite honestly driving many people away. And of those people that are not being driven away - there seems to many that are honestly embarrassed by what they see in the media day in and day out.

One other issue, it almost seems that screeching women are all that matters now to the DNC. Screeching women that seem to hate men in general. I think that there are some women that have good sons, good fathers, and good husbands that are starting to wonder what would happen if it was the men in their lives put in this position?

Dems, please go back to what you were - please purge these insane people from your ranks. It's sad to see it happen, it really is.

My dad voted against bush 1 , he was a life long democrat....until bill clinton. The then new democrat tactic of dividing people and saying anything to try to smear someone just got to him. He was going to vote for Carson( a white, southern alabamian with kkk ancestors voting for a black man......) but the democrats smeared him off the face of the planet, so , in protest, he voted for the guy the democrats " pumped up" Trump.

Go back to what you were, Democrats. Ya'll are losing people.

I mean, we've all been watching the game unfold the whole Trump administration, and if it walks like Daffy Duck, it must be...... DD.. People are tired and fatigued from the democratic rhetoric and game plans. They are mainly responsible for their own demise, or dwindling membership. You can only take so much behavior like they display before a hatred rises up inside. Maybe the dems who are reasonable decent people will have to form a new party ? I don't see any way of gathering members under mob rule.

Seems if they can't have it, they will destroy everyone and everything...?

The previous clown was in for eight years and the Republicans resisted and fought but they never came across as overly emotional crybabies.

All I see now is a bunch of people throwing a temper tantrum because they are not getting their way.

Independent voters are seeing the same thing.

We all forget that there are good Democrats out there. They have a place in the election process and direction of our country, but as of late they have been hijacked severely.

I'm republican, and feel sorry for their having been labeled by the actions of a few. I remember past radicals like John Birch and McCarthy... it was not good.

At least you might be able to reason with your niece some of the time.

Anecdotally I am generally independent, but I am adamant about natural rights and the constitution. I have a lot of friends who were quite angry about what happened to Bernie. I also have a number of family who were lifelong blue collar Democrats (boston irish) one of which suffered bad sexual abuse all through her childhood.

The family member that suffered abuse flat out thinks Ford is lying and is completely out off by most politicians especially the Democrats right now. There are two in laws that were "with her" and post about "I believe Ford" but they were emotionally distraught over Trump winning, and casually claim Trump is a traitor etc. Basically will never change their minds.

I think there will be a lot of unpredictable voting behavior and a surprise in the amount of enthusiasm of the historically left leaning folks. That being said, my conservative friends are extremely fired up, have been posting links to register to vote, and most plan to vote in their early voting periods.

Will see how it all pans out, but I think Kavenaugh gets confirmed and the Republicans maintain majority...

Umm, yes they did. Keep in mind, I don’t stake my name to any political affiliation, so as an neutral/independent party I can adamantly say the Republicans did act pretty foolish during the Obama Administration.

Remember the Tea Party? Obama’s birth certificate? False rumors of his secret gay life? The many racist remarks about not only him but his wife?

The Tea Party was a flop that turned into a collective gathering of southern Wal-Mart shoppers. The birth certificate fiasco was embarrassing. And the way they tried to smear him and Michelle with those “rumors” was equally sad.

The difference was that the right doesn’t control the media enough to make their sh#t stick. Also, it wasn’t as planned, coordinated and implemented as well as the left has done it. Both parties smear each other but the left is just raising the bar to pure lunacy.

The DNC needs a purge to rid itself of the #resist whiners and build a #negotiate core. Rid the party of all the Clintons and Obamas who mouth off for self aggrandizement. Do try to accomplish something.
The DNC has a platform with a single plank: get Trump. People would like to see more. What will you do after you "get" him? Ocasio-Cacacabeza says free stuff for everybody. Thoughtful. Warren says 70% tax for the wealthy but can't count the wampum beads too well as there will not be enough wampum by merely draining the top 5%. Schumer said that not letting illegals vote is "racist." He doesn't seem to understand that CITIZENS vote, not residents. Race has nothing to do with it but it's the word of the year for the Dems, so he threw it in there.
The more people see of their odious behavior, the more chance they have of becoming completely irrelevant. Dems, move to the middle before there is only one party to choose from!

I don't think you understand. I did see many right wing activist SAY things on the internet. But when they did actually protest, like the Tea Party, they did so with civility and grace. No crazed screaming, no storming of government buildings, no doxing of politicians, no showing up on politicians front yards with bullhorns and death threats, no shooting of democrat politicians as they played softball, no constant death threats nor people being arrested for making death threats...

Once again, you can pretend that the DNC haven't frenzied up every crazy zombie freak they can find, BUT THEY HAVE. And if you want, all you have to do is search Youtube for a few minutes to see it for yourself. Would you like some search tips?

You make some good points. Especially about the left turning it to 11 considering that the police are erecting barricades around the streets of our nation's capitol in preparation of the confirmation vote.

I don't recall this happening when the supreme court voted to uphold the Affordable Care Act.

I was an independent for years before I joined the VPOA, but my preference was always the blue dog democrats before they got purged post ACA.

I always felt those folks were the closest to the average American.
