The nature of Kavanaugh's treatment resembles the show trials of the socialist and communist regimes throughout history. That's worrying.

Agreed
It is the exact way they handled the Russia BS. At first there was nothing to it and every knew it. Then there were conflicting stories, backed by 24/7 dishonest news and ~30% of the population getting whipped into a frenzy. Espionage shadow spy terminology became household terms in some homes

They accused Trump of some sort of murky non-defined "Collusion" and used their own hysteria/news stories/anonymous sources to further that rumor. Even now, as Mueller is clearly winding down (who may have been never targeting Trump, it seems, this was all MSM spin/leftist false narrative) some on the left are clinging on to their collusion delusion and asserting Trump is on the verge of impeachment/conviction and then indictment.

According to the left, Trump fighting back against their false accusations was "proof." Kavanaugh fighting back against their false accusations was "proof" of his guilt. Any person in Congress who didn't buy the collusion delusion was "a Kremlin agent/asset" and any American citizen who supported Trump, voted for Trump, spoke out against Democrats, or spoke out against Stormy Daniels were all Russian robots on a Kremlin mission to destroy all that is good and holy

Hey more power to you

Not that you need it, but I fully support your 1st amendment right to speak out about the government (or whatever you choose)

I believe that is exactly how Alex Jones show started. Yea I know it has some pretty far out there stuff, but he also highlights a lot of important Constitutional issues and every now and then he'll cover a story with an sensible angle that ends up opening up different questions that wouldn't get asked otherwise. I suppose it is defining "critical thinking" and I think we need a heck of a lot more of that not less

Alex Jones doesn't even call himself a reporter. He labels himself a performance artist....he a business man just capitalizing on the loony rights fears. Doin business the American way...

But let me ask you this, who does this sound like?

Lies dude, all lies.

You claim that you are making mad money because of the gop using your services but then claim that they are trying to control the media, freedom of speech and free enterprise???

Lol

In this case I was only using the reference as in the excuses they use (they aren't alone, just examples I came up with)

Haven't you noticed politicians refuse to take responsibility for anything, anymore? There is always an excuse. Always a scapegoat. Always "If we had tried this" or "Such and such intentionally torpedoed it." It's never just that something was a bad idea, or that something didn't work out how they planned, or even that unknowable circumstances prevented it from working out. But there's never accountability, never anyone copping to screwing up. Even with the fact that in today's environment the consequences would be muted (if at all). But instead, what do they do? They make up excuses, invent reasons why they lost or couldn't pass a piece of legislation.

And it does apply to all politicians, generally. I've seen a few of our politicians (GOP ones) start getting their voices back recently, McConnel, Graham, etc. Even Jeff Flake appears to be interested in doing the right thing so I'm a little surprised there

Try and keep up...

It's the fascist trying to control everything....not the Republicans. The GOP is just slightly right of the dembs. with the best intrest of the union. Two sides of the same coin as many here at ats say...

The Republicans aren't right wing fascist!!! Some are I guess...but most are wonderful, respectable folks just trying to get buy.
I have been working with and for the dembs, GOP, and Libertarians and Gov. Gary Johnson is a personal friend, since 2005 when I got my producers certification..

I prefer working on the big feature movies and TV, but I work for who pays the best; this time with the midterm elections in Nov, it's the GOP. Union proud, Union strong...

That's exactly what they are. And if the Dems are allowed to win this will become the norm.

Its sickening that people are too stupid to see it.

They aren't actually capitalist. If they were, they wouldn't endorse socialist policies.

They're robber barons in the truest sense of the word, only you have to find a way to mix in political power with that definition.

I think the excuses you hear come from the sublimation of self necessary to such political shifts.

You can't be an individual in any real sense in those systems, so things that go wrong are never your fault - there is no real "you."

To me, the realignment that needs to happen pronto is very clear. There needs to be a rise of classically liberal republicanism. This demographic is among the fastest growing I see on social media and message boards and yet they have no party representation. The illiberal left moves further and further away from American liberal values by the hour and the Grand Ossified Party is still feeling beholden to a far right social conservative base that is dwindling and becoming ever more irrelevant on the national stage. The time is ripe for the GOP to make the change, but I'm not holding my breath that the myopic bastards leading that party will see what is flapping on their faces.

As far as I can tell, the only reason why Communists/Socialist are left wing is due to mainly the excuses and that it is a tool for revolution against any status quo in power regardless of ideally. Then see how fast it can become conservative once it has situated itself...think very very, small government.

Ironically, communism/socialism is the assimilation of every individual into a collective where individuality is said to be broken down an deleted. If there a black sheep, kill it pretty much.

Democrats/Liberals, ideally should be like justice, blind, not deaf an/or stupid all the while maintaining a form of loyalty that isnt to apparent these days. I mean they got to eat too an make a living.

Liberty a double edged sword really, especially when democracy is basically elegant sound of strength in numbers saying yes or no.
