Maybe if they would have had ford distracted by her smart phone checking her go fund me page...$$$$$$$

So it depends on who's being lampooned to determine the humor of something?

Not really.

I think it is in bad tatse to make fun of kavanaugh or ford.

Havuing said that, things in bad tatse can be very funny, and I think comedy should have almost no limits.

In my opinion, i didnt think this was funny, thats all.

Comedy to me is also best when it edgy and dangerous. A bunch of celebreties constantly bashing republicans trump or kavanuagh is not dangerous at all. Its safe.

And so I found the hypocrisy in this skit much much funnier than the skit itself; and laugh at the snivelling virtue signalling safe comedians out there that pat themselves on the back for all agreeing with each other and going after the same targets in their comedy.

As funny as it can be considered, it's improper. This man and his family are going through a very bad situation just because some crazy women and unscrupulous democrats/liberals/anti-Trump want to destroy US.

yes he is going through a lot

that does not mean he or the situation should be off limits for a joke.

Nobody in this thread noticed how SNL avoided the part where Ford talks. That's intentional. They don't want to make fun of her as they did with Kavanaugh.

If nothing should be off limits for a joke then make one about that crazy woman.

Not at all.
Either stay away from they subject because it's in bad taste or jump in head first and hit it all.

OMG! That was almost like the real thing! lol. Deja vu.

Although it would have been more fitting if they had had medics come in and put Lindsey Graham in a straight jacket.
They really played his participation down. His theatrics were beyond the pale.

It was dead-on point and hysterical.

And every episode since the 70's has cold opened with that weeks events. That's why it's been around over 30 yrs.

They portray whats happening in a tongue and cheek way. Great...just awesome! Laughed my xxx off last night!

I'm horrified to say this but I agree with TinySickTears. 😳😳😳😳. This skit was hilarious.

I have followed very little of the Kavanaugh "hearing" because it's all a big disgusting orchestrated circus and it's too maddening and saddening that this BS is actually happening. The whole thing shows the absolute moral deadness and corruption of ALL of our elected and unelected officials. The scariest thing about it is how the public has bought into it. Bought the whole damn thing and are letting themselves be manipulated in every way.

Matt Damon kicked ass here, and it's funny to have SNL point out the little things we all probably noticed: the "female prosecutor" (why qualify it??) being sat down front in that little desk, with all her messy papers, the calendar thing, a whole bunch of little things. Hilarious.

My only gripe is that they didn't "comment" on how batship crazy Feinstein is- they tried to portray her as reasonable. Maybe that was supposed to be part of the joke.

So lighten up, people. Even if it had a liberal slant, it was funny, and with the way things are going, it won't be much longer that we will still be "allowed" to make fun of this stuff because we have been all sitting back doing nothing while our free speech gets taken away piece by piece.

In Living Color was amazing!

SNL wants to be The Daily Show with John Stewart (Noah Trevor seemed like a good choice until he got behind the desk).

What I don't understand is how people can't see when they're being pushed to think a certain way. Perhaps it's ego and a belief that they're too smart to be manipulated.

Perhaps it's that they've forgotten or never learned that truth is subjective and outside parties can never know the true happenings and context of any situation.

Yes, I think Ford is blaming him for something he has nothing to do but happened to her. That's when she got nuts. She convinced her own mind. Once they find out she was lying, she'll claim mental disorder.

Pretty funny.

Even funnier, how Matt is doing this, but is mum on his Hollywood pals that have been accused of the same thing.
