When you run for president make me your VP running mate. im just the bulldog you need. By the letter of the law kind of guy. And im Blunt as a sledgehammer.

Well heck, if we're talking about government jobs, I volunteer to be Deputy Assistant Undersecretary of the Treasury for Fraud, Waste and Abuse.

I happen to be very good at all three.

Zaphod would make a great chief of staff representative in the pentagon. Krazyshot could be the new FBI director.

I just find it hard to believe the incompetence of the Dems. It's like they all read from the same spreadsheet of questions to ask.

If it was incompetence it would be understandable. This is a deliberate plot to control the power of the US gov. Plain and simple.

Democrats were a complete disgrace from the very start of their corruption even BEFORE Kavanaugh was announced to the right now. Kavanaugh was correct when he said they made their role "search and destroy".

Of all the Democrat idiots, Whitehouse's "farticus' moment had to the the most ridiculous.

Well geeze being male, even i like a good fart joke like Blazing Saddles.

Exploding the debt like they do is wrong.

They all know it, but it's easy and it buys votes. I think every single one of them feels honestly like it will end up being someone else's problem ... until it's not. Until then, the good times roll and they just do what they do.

Not one of them wants to be the one to tell people that their cherished program or gravy train has to be cut off or just even cut because it's too expensive.

And we're all complicit in that. You, me, everyone. Because if you're honest, you know how hard it is to cut back on your own until you are forced to. It takes an act of supreme willpower and actual intelligence to do it before you're forced to cope without by simply not having. Most of us just can't manage it until forced, and some of us, not even then.

You expect our elected officials to somehow figure out how to be better than we are? Please! They pretend to be elite and all of them better, but most of them aren't actually any smarter than you or I.

I'm not qualified.

I had too many male friends and if it's not good to have raunchy conversations that allude to nasty sex acts and farts, then I'll never make it out of committee without national scandal.

In all honesty, if i ever was accused like kavanaugh, i wouldnt have been as polite as him.

I could not have listened to admitted sexual assaulter cory booker get all high and mighty on me without asking him how is victims truth is doing.

Or blumenthal; say on lie equals you cant believa anything from that person, without asking him how vietnam was.

I never understood why anyone going in front of congress doesn't have a file on each of the people that would be interviewing them, just so they can pull out the dirt card if needed. Heck Howard Hughes did that.

I cannot believe that a U S Senator would get himself elected, wake up in the morning, put on his suit, head out to the hearing and proceed to interrogate a 50 something year old man over his high school yearbook?

Even worse, you have 99 other Senators, there in that room and none of them thinks that maybe something is off in this whole perfect train wreck?

so right! And then some of them were fuming mad during yesterday's hearings - stating how low "this body" has become...but yet did they say "I'm quitting because I don't want to be a part of this anymore"? ummm, no. They will continue to be a part of this system until they are forced to retire. So, do they really care that this was a complete farce? I would have to say not really.

THIS didn't take long...

Ford's lawyers (Read Fiendstein) say the supplemental FBI investigation MUST NOT have a scope or a time limit.

Democrats are liars and scumbags... how often will Republicans keep facilitating their behaviour?
This would never ever happen if the shoe was on the other foot.

I know if the Reps asked for more more and more of the Dems they wouldn't, so I'm not understanding why the Reps are giving in. This will never make the Dems happy no matter what they are given.

Midterm elections. They are worried about losing female voters.

What happens when they lose all the male votes tho?

They won't because they are going to ultimately do the right thing and move along before midterms.

I am so tired of the words "deemed credible" as if they mean the same as "proven in a court of law."

I am tired of deemed credible being used when there is zero credibility because their own witnesses contradict them.

and even more so, you have this obvious mentally frail lady, you drag her out to relive one of the most, if not the most traumatic events of her life, live on TV in front of the nation, and you cannot find a way to get someone that has known her for more than 3 months to sit next to her at some point? or at least within touching distance? I mean I just wanted to tell her it will end up okay, instead you got these two giant robots that look like my mother when she found out I failed english and some k list celebrity who cannot even use her pop culture magic to go give the lady a hug?

It really is the most pitiful display of humanity, and to think I am sending these people there and paying for this giant $#!t show, I really need to reconsider my life choices.

Exactly, she was the one of the most least credible people I have seen testify.
There is no evidence, her 'witnesses' refute the story.
She spoke in some fake baby voice.
She was caught lying.

When Democrats say 'credible' what they really mean is she acting like she was sad so they could join in the entertainment and express their fake feelings on TV.

Two peoples lives have now been destroyed in a way they will never recover from, but hey, that's OK right? Of the people, for the people has been a lie for a long, long time if it ever was true.

Sad part is, it is our own fault. Many in America, as you said, vote strictly party lines. They are too lazy or don't care enough to vet the candidates before casting their votes.

You want to get back to "for the people, by the people"?

Stop voting for career politicians.

We need a lot of new blood in congress and our state and local governments.

Most of what we have in congress now are lawyers.......

That should tell us something.

The Lewinski scandal was a farce. It was two consenting adults, even though one of those adults was the POTUS.

You are barking up the wrong tree in reference to that. I thought the attacks on Bill Clinton (who was a decent President, good economy, moderate, etc) were disgusting and despicable.

the idea that Democrats are the party of sex-crazed obsession?

You're right, it is more so the MSM/pundits obsessing with sex issues vs. the democrats themselves. The democrats are equal opportunity attackers, not just sex accusations
(That was In jest)

Lewinski was between Hillary and Bill. The lying under oath about her in the Paula Jones civil trial case got the Impeachment ball rolling. High crimes proven. Still the R's had a weak spine and I think that set the tone for the rest of this mess.

The dems opened themselves up for Garland by being partisan and setting this in motion with the Biden rule. Both parties need to stop it, moreso the Democrats, but neither has clean hands.

Why do you think it would be any different? If Democrats had waited to try and block Kavanaugh's vote Republican's would have done away with the 60 vote rule at this point anyways, and nothing about the outcome would have changed from what we have now.

Ok I am sure someone probably stated this but in case not, What 60 vote rule? The Dems abolished it last administration. Are u implying that the R's have to reinstate it now?

What about the Ford's Polygraph?

The August 7 examination, held in a Maryland Hilton Hotel, consisted of a one-page, handwritten statement by Ford, an interview and two questions: Is any part of your statement false? And, Did you make up any part of your statement?

She answered both with a no. The Virginia-based examiner, Jeremiah Hanafin, noted both answers were deemed "not indicative of deception," according to the report obtained by USA TODAY.

www.azcentral.com...< br />

Two questions and if I understand correctly, her written statement didn't even mention Kavanaugh's name.

I'm sorry, but just not buying it. I do believe she had such an encounter, but her first statement only named Mark, and her lack of recall illustrates exactly why nobody should believe such accusations DECADES after the alleged event. Certainly not in the absence of any other evidence, when it's just word against word.

In my humble opinion, these accusations go to the character of the man. While the Dems can be cited for using the complaint to their advantage (though Feinstein did say that the timing of the release was not in her hands, but in Ford's), the Republicans are content to ignore the whole issue in their unseeming haste to stack the SC in case they lose their Senate majority. So instead of a more comprehensive investigation of the guy they want to promote...combined with a campaign that assures them of a win, they are trying to jig the system so as to force their ethos on a populace that may not want it.

So spare me the feigned outrage, Lindsay, hands off of those pearls. Neither side looks good in this sideshow! The fair thing to do would be to postpone the appointment until after the elections, and may the best candidates win.

FACTS are we don't have accusations until the final vote and it is clearly not proven.

In non Marxist Nations we let innocent be left alone and unproven claims lie. Proven claims we prosecute to the fullest until Hillary got caught violating the Espionage act and destroyed evidence on purpose.

FACTS matter, accusations are hearsay and with not one witness it is slander.

The man has a problem with being honest so he will fit right into the government. Maybe that won't affect how he interprets the law though.

I would be surprised if he doesn't get the position.

What problem did you find?

It's all about the delay...not the FBI.
More accusations will be gathered during that time...JUST LIKE the last week gave time to Creepy Porn Lawyer to come up with Gang Rape girl.

I say let the Democrats try it and screw themselves for good. At least the Republicans will say they tried to give them a fair shake while the Democrats continue to shoot themselves in the foot and lose more votes.

The Republicans so far seem like they're trying to be fair to all concerned.
Then why are they trying to ram through a flawed candidate in the fear that they will lose the Senate majority? If they lose that, then they lose the public mandate to advance their candidate for nomination. And that is fair how?

Who is without a blemish and what defines flawed for you?

Devils Triangle: I was in a fraternity, and there was no quarters game called Devil's Triangle.

It's exactly what Kavanaugh and Judge tried do with Dr Ford, but were too drunk to pull it off.

When and where? Do you have any proof?
