One of the interesting things about Swetnick's situation is that all sorts of stories have suddenly appeared about her being in arrears on taxes. That's classic "push back" from power. They are afraid of her. I'm surprised they haven't found kiddie porn on her laptop.
Avenatti says she has settled her debts and that they are irrelevant to her allegations against Kavanaugh.

What happened today was and is a travesty. Both sides were playing politics, not just one. If you think this is below anything Republicans would do, we simply do not agree.
Yes the Democrats deserve to be scorned for the way they handled this, but I'm not going to give the Republicans a pass just because the Dem's were the ones crawling on their bellies today. Republicans have their share of slime on their bellies also. One need only watch the attack ads they run to see how morally bankrupt both parties have become.
Sure, but compared to attack ads during an election year this was beyond the pale.

How much more do you want to know. Julie Swetnick had a defamation suit filed against her by a previous employer in 2000, she had a domestic violence incident resulting in the filing of a protection order in 2001, her ex-boyfriend who filed the restraining order says that she threatened him, his wife, and harm to his newborn child, she filed a sexual harassment case against a previous employer for an incident between 2006 - 2008, a hometown family friend says she's a "whack job" and that Julie's mother used to call his mother to talk about her mental health issues.

I'm trying to juggle earning a living with my interest in this today, so please forgive my slow replies.
I'll just leave it at yes, this today by Democrats and more importantly how they withheld this and used the media as willing partners for a last minute smear campaign is as bad as it gets. Feinstein who I once respected, even though I don't often agree with her politics, I no longer respect. Her handling that confidential information the way she did is about as sick of a thing as I can recall. She should resign and by the look on her face and her lack of animation today, she knows she sold her soul.

I'm embarrassed to be an American for the first time in my life. That we elected these people and keep reelecting them reflects on us all. We the People did this to ourselves. The question now is, when will we wake the hell up as a people. Why have we let these two disgusting political parties play us like marionettes?
I'd blame this on the Democrats who excel in character assassination, but I have zero doubt the Republicans would do the same if the situation were reversed. Sadly they set the tone for the country and no doubt character assassination without police complaints being filed or any evidence at all will become the norm, much to the shame of our system and us.
What a sick, sick process this has become.

Maybe we should define the R' helper sheep to the D's as "RINO's" and understand they are one big Uniparty. We have Constitutionalist's and Communist in both parties. Not many Conservative Constitutional oriented that I see at this point. Very, very few are D's and that is very sad for America.
I can't name one in the D's guys but I am sure someone left in the party of Donkey's believes in America the founders gave us. I sure can name some Libertarian and R's off the top of my head. But not ever a Bush.
