It must have hurt for you. Sore loser, we would have said back in school.
But that is Donald’s mental age, okay, so let’s go with it.

The worlds diplomats and top foreign officials were laughing AT Trumps incredibly cringes words!

As I said in the other thread about this, they soon stopped laughing.

Please look up „Heiko Maas reaction trump“ for yourself. I’m on mobile right now.

That is our foreign minister.

We are not socialist nor fascist right now, and I don’t think we are a „backwater third world country „, too, as if those should not speak or be heard when the first world people are speaking!
This sounds even crazier as I write it down again...
Do you swarthy suave classy Europeans use commas instead of quotation marks? Just wondering. Who is your foreign minister by the way???

Let us recap some of Trumps UN speech. It starts out with him claiming to be the "bestest" thing that ever happened to the UN. It was funny. Then goes on to tell several countries that are supposed to be our allies how they are screwing up like how Germany gets too much energy from Russia which made the German delegation laugh at him again. Really why is it Trumps concern? Well, that is because it cuts down on how much oil the US sells. Then he goes after the boogieman Iran wanting more sanctions. Why? Because of Irans oil. You see with Trumps Taxes/Tariffs war China has been seeking another source of oil other than the US. China was the biggest importer of US crude, but they are seeking more oil from Iran. China opposes unilateral sanctions and defended its commercial ties with Iran. Trump wants to put an end to that. Trump is also looking at more oil sanctions on Venezuela. Oil is king and Trump bows to the king.

Trump did have praise for one country though. North Korea and Little Kim.
Well, I've noticed he tends to bring it down to the level of the average person, as opposed to giving a talk at the most elite Yale alumni snobbery. And yes, right now NK is behaving more grownup than the average Democrat/leftist in the US with all of their tantrums and demands.
On the energy thing..... as per a presentation from the head of the Americans For Prosperity around my neck of the woods, Russia has so dominated as the source for Europeans to get their energy supplies, it has used Progressives as tools to attack the US natural gas industry(fracking to be more precise) as a means to stop us from having enough to supply not just ourselves but Europe as well.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Last July, U.S. President Donald Trump stood beside his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda, in Warsaw and promised to help wean the nation off Russian energy imports. He offered U.S. fuel as an alternative, "so that you can never be held hostage to a single supplier."

Trump was tapping into longstanding European concerns about Russia's ability to shut off natural gas supplies - which it has done in past pricing disputes. U.S. lawmakers say Russia's influence over energy has proven effective in silencing critics of its human rights abuses, annexation of Crimea, and incursion into eastern Ukraine, an assertion the Kremlin has denied.
www.businessinsider.com...

Nato chief, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, says Moscow mounting disinformation campaign to maintain reliance on Russian gas

Rasmussen said: “I have met allies who can report that Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organisations - environmental organisations working against shale gas - to maintain European dependence on imported Russian gas.”

Interesting coming from the Guardian....

The only thing that's true about it is you share the sentiment with others in your bubble. In other words, your truth is born of fallacy and group-think.

AND..you are exactly the same, just the flip side of an ugly coin.

The president points a finger at countries that may not follow what the US would like to see happening.

Much worse then the US actions of using it's military and intelligence agency to over throw countries to enact the US policies.

This is all good fun until the world decides it has had enough.

Oh yes, like meeting with NK and S Korea to come up with a solution..... oh wait you were talking about Obama and Bush Jr.... …..

They started clapping. Well, unless your the media, then it’s “the world started clapping at him” or “they were openly applauding him”.

I'm pretty sure they just laughed because the dude lied with a straight face about being the biggliest and bestest president and administration evar.

I can't figure out why people are having such a tough time understanding such simplicity.

How did he lie? Quote where he lied in the statement he made before they laughed, or admit you are a bufoon who knows nothing on the subject you speak of.

I mean, IF it's so simple, you should be able to accomplish that small feat. Unless you're some kind of mentally challenged individual and you don't seem to be so...the only other option, if you are unable to complete this task, is deception... you are not a liar, like you accused Trump of, are you?

I watched the entire speech last night and they laugh at the comment the person in the audience said in reply to Trump when he was boasting his record as president. So whatever the person said that Trump acknowledged and started laughing at is what the crowd was laughing at. Regardless the leaders at the UN can tell us how funny it is when they have to defend themselves militarily and stop receiving foreign aid from us. But I'd be willing to bet they won't think that's very funny.

It doesn't matter, either way. This trifling bit of intrigue is what interests the fake news media's audience. Unfortunately the rest of the speech is missing from their consciousness.

I haven't been able to find the Kardashian take on this yet. Very distressing!!!

Couple points on this -

America doesn't like to be laughed at. They don't like being the butt of the joke and yes on this occasion I'm talking about Americans as people and as a country. That's fine because us Brits don't like it either but America is one of those countries that LOVE the idea that no one can or should laugh at them (in m opinion). They will look to pick it apart and say that it wasn't them being laughed at but a comment on this or that and that's again, fine but it did look pretty much like the UN talking heads were laughing at Trump and his claim.

Trump didn't like that, he said as much. He clearly was taken back by the chuckle and to me watching the speech, which I only do on occasion, seemed to almost have a pausing moment akin to a deer in headlights but then managed to kick in his Trumpian part of his personality and dealt with it.

(I'm readying myself for the Trumpers to attack or the Americans to attack).

I watched the whole thing. And I noted many pockets of reaction as the camera-persons (kudos!) focused in on various country representatives as He mentioned them.

My own impression, was that this happened very early...during what I think of as the boilerplate hyperbole intro...and what surprised him, was someone shouting out from the audience a supportive comment. He riffed on that by saying he didn't expect such a vocal response...to which the room chuckled a bit.

If you actually are interested in what the actual UN Representatives were reacting to and when, spend the 35 minutes. The stony faces at some parts say far more than the chuckles do, I think.

It wasn't a great speech. More like an annual projections report, I thought. It certainly didn't rise to the level of last year's, when he pretty much threatened to scrape NK off the planet, if things didn't change. I liked the simultaneous condemnation of the Iran mullah regime, coupled with the support of the Iranian people determining their own fate. Last time they were ready to revolt, our country gave them the cold shoulder.

They actually laughed louder and clapped when he came back with his quip.
Basically, the guy IS funny. He exaggerates. He's the stereotype of someone who 'bigs themselves up' and when he does it it's funny because he confirms the stereotype.

The media, however, will, of course, characterise it as laughing at Trump in terms of everything he stands for and also laughing at America. That is their job to do that, they work for the Democrats as a campaign arm.

After the laughter died down, Trump should have said “And the USA will no longer will be giving financial aid to the UN menbers”. I bet they wouldn’t have laughed then.

Well...he did say that later in his speech. And you are correct. No one was laughing then.

Well they didnt burst out is peals of unstoppable laughter thats true. They do have some dignity and respect for their fellow man. Thats the whole premise behind the United Nations in the first place.
But they did laugh. Just a moment of unguarded emotion. They probably thought he was making a joke. They are not subject to his constant bragging like we are so they might have thought it was a joke.

Nah it was real laughter because they thought he must be making a joke.

And Im pretty sure that they do not have to worry about having the support of the United States as they always have.

Right because Hollywood controls the minds and bodies of the people of the United States. We really need an eye roll emoji.
If you're going to give violent movies that kind of power you will have to give the heartwarming inspiring movies that teach morals and kindness the same value. There are just as many of them.
What about romance movies? They should inspire us to achieve satisfying relationships.

The same people who claim that the onslaught of negative info put out about Hillary had no effect.

What part of it is true? It all depends on a) which statistics you believe and b) which income bracket you are in. (My taxes went up actually.)

And I don't hold my breath on absolute truth from a politician, but constantly lying and patting himself on the back whilst lying is getting tiresome. Trust me, Trump and sliced bread are not in the same category.
