This is what i'm talking about.
Haven't we been teaching boys "no means no" for decades????
Haven't we taught about consent?

It isn't working.

Let's show them no means getting your balls removed from your body.

I think some boxing lessons or judo lessons would be alot more beneficial than learning how to square dance.

i think you should not worry about it.
hows that

i really do not feel like defending wrestling or jiu jitsu over your judo or boxing but....
i want her to be able to fight on the ground and off her back.

but as i said.
not for you to worry about but go ahead and make a #ty comment about me or whatever you want now.

im sure its coming.

Dang u have issues bro..

(I am in no victim blaming or in any way excusing the behavior of rapist or such, I just know they will always be out there and they always have)

To deny this is just ignorance, it is not an excuse, it's a fact.
Please, yes let's teach boys, just as we have been doing. We could teach them until we are blue in the face, it will still happen. Think about this, everyone in the world knows that cigarettes/drugs are bad for you, then why do people still smoke?

It's because there will always be people that make bad decisions. There will also be people that are mentally unstable too,
For whatever reasons people rape, I don't see that ending anytime soon.
So rather than doing things that are already NOT working, how about we doing things that might work.

You're actually serious aren't you?

The need to rationalize for terrible behavior is so intense, it's the girls' fault that we did not train them well enough to ninja evade the advances of men, who are just being boys.

Because it cannot be the boys' fault... because Trump the Infallible.

Watching so many members fall into this trap. I know some are here just for propaganda and will disappear as they always do when the job is done. But some people really need to start digging out before it's too late. Wrong is wrong. Assault is the fault of the one who is assaulting. Rape is the fault of a rapist, not the skirt length or lack of martial arts training.

Enough excuses, direct or indirect.

I agree. It's not the women's fault. But common sense should tell you that before we can make the fundamental changes in our society, we must protect our children first. Self defense is the best way to do that. I don't see the problem of teaching women or girls self defense. That's not victim blaming. It's what can I do right now. My wife has self defense training. If she ever gets attacked I pray it's enough for her to escape harm, but she and I both know that it will not be her fault if she gets attacked. She's just ready for it, just in case.

That's called "common sense " and since she was raised around me, she has plenty. Something many young people are sorely lacking.

Unfortunately, it's only as effective as it's weakest link. We were all young once and I remember not listening to my parents (or anyone else) and feeling rebellious. I didn't (however) engage in a lot of party type behavior because I was an introvert. But I wanted to and would have if I had been more social.

It's not just a matter of teaching individuals that drugs and booze and partying are bad for them. It's also really needed to discourage this kind of atmosphere where they feel like losers if they aren't doing it.

Personally i blame the rapists not the parents.

Unless of course its the parents doing the raping in which case i totally i agree the parents are at fault.

Who told you what to do?

Asking questions is not telling someone to do something.

When did I say you should teach her something else? I said boxing or judo because I didnt know how to spell ju jitsu.

Typical lefty just looking for something to be offended about.

Well when I quoted it it said you had it misspelled. So are you stupid?

I was saying boxing or judo as self defense. I dont care if it kung fu or karate or ju jitsu or anything else just teach some self defense.

You just read it with an attitude.

I really implore anyone with a daughter, to get your daughter in self defence training. The younger the better. She will use it for the rest of her life. She will thank you later on.

i do have two beautiful daughters and raised them with my wonderful wife and didn't have to get them into self defence training simply because we had them safe with moral education, now one is married for almost two years (im a very happy grand father) and the other is next to be in the upcoming months, so its not about self defence, its about morals in your location or where you reside.

morals is what we need
