I do not believe she is looking to press charges. She just wants the people to know what kind of man he is. That something like this is within his character.
I keep asking, what is so spectacular about this guy that they can't just move on to the next candidate for the position?
Say Buh Bye and have a nice life.
NEXT...
Is he the last one available... I think there are a lot of federal judges to choose from.

So you're ok with a man's life and career being destroyed with an unsubstantiated, uncorroborated allegation from decades ago?

Really?

She has a son who just joined the military too! It's people like this who make me sick! Imagine if a woman came forth with allegations like this that can't be proven against her son. Do you think she would believe the woman?

It's all political!

Good point I didn’t know the state said it was willing to investigate. That’s probably going to be the democrats next move.

Most of the country knows she’s lying. But half of the country is ignoring that.

And I think an appropriate parry by the conservative end
should be to immediately nominate Jenkins.
From the frying pan and into the heart of the sun... cool.

No...Maryland did not say that. In fact the Gov said they would not.

It is because her letter outlines a misdemeanor which has a 6 year statute of limitation...it isnt a felony.

The letter was VERY carefully worded to fall within this realm. They didnt want Kav in jail, just off the SC.

Then I’m back to my first position.

Let her make the allegation against Kavanaugh to the FBI under oath. She’s been calling for an FBI investigation. They should show up at her doorstep unannounced .

One would expect formal communications of importance to be drafted and reviewed and rewritten.

You mean like official White House press releases?

"Promote the possibility of lasting peach" -- May 22, 2017

Or how about statements from Trump's attorneys? You'd think those would be thoroughly reviewed and revised, wouldn't you?

Trump’s personal lawyer just released a letter filled with typos

Chock full of misspellings, punctuation mistakes, etc. Very sad!

What about this gem?

White House claims 'clerical error' led to drastic change in Iran statement

In the written statement sent to reporters around 7:30 p.m. ET, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders declared that newly unveiled Israeli intelligence proved "Iran has a robust, clandestine nuclear weapons program."

The declaration flew in the face of American intelligence determinations, which found Tehran froze its program following the Obama-era agreement to lift sanctions in exchange for curtailing its nuclear ambitions.

By 9:30 p.m. ET, the statement appeared differently online.

"Iran had a robust, clandestine nuclear weapons program," the online version read, reiterating a long-established US position.

Whoops! Total hoax from fake news White House! Pathetic!

Interesting I was going by reports that said:

Tom Manger, the Chief of Police for Montgomery County, Maryland, announced tonight that “We are prepared to investigate if the victim wants to report to us, and we can determine it occurred in the County”

Then again, nah.

So she wants to ruin the mans career and reputation without being accountable for her statements at all...and you see no problem with that?

Edit: Also without any proof but her word...

An expert has analyzed the "Ford Letter" written to Senator Diane Feinstein and has exposed some obvious problems that indicate the thing is a fraud.

It's authenticity must of been vetted with the same stringent standards as the obama birth certificate...

And so long as everyone believes all that, I will still have my job.

What? That I went to college, or that some people are not great writers and need the help of tools like books and spell check?

Or that people read Hamilton (just kidding here, I'm sure more people have read Hamilton's writings than John Adams, but I wished people did both)

I forgot a post on ATS is an official letter to Congress, my bad. Care to address the inconsistencies?

I'll play along. Let's look at one of the tweets, selected at random.

31) “a very drunken Judge said mixed words to Kavanaugh” — this is the writing of either an illiterate or someone for whom English is a second language.

—“Very drunken”? She means “very drunk.”
—“Mixed words?” She means “said contradictory things.”

Who uses an em dash as a bullet point? Hoax!

Sarcasm aside, let's consider the would be points made here.

—“Very drunken”? She means “very drunk.”

Wrong. "Drunken" is an adjective. "Drunk" can be a verb, adjective or noun.

Merriam-Webster - drunken

drunken adjective
drunk·en | ˈdrəŋ-kən

Definition of drunken

1 : drunk sense 1 a drunken driver

2 obsolete : saturated with liquid

3a : given to habitual excessive use of alcohol

b : of, relating to, or characterized by intoxication they come from … broken homes, drunken homes —P. B. Gilliam

c : resulting from or as if from intoxication a drunken brawl

4 : unsteady or lurching as if from alcoholic intoxication

Cambridge English Dictionary - drunken

drunken adjective [ before noun ]
uk /ˈdrʌŋ.kən/ us /ˈdrʌŋ.kən/ disapproving

A drunken person is (often) under the influence of alcohol:
She was convicted of murdering her drunken and allegedly violent husband.
The square filled up with drunken baseball fans.

used to describe a situation in which a lot of alcohol has been drunk:
a drunken brawl
He came home and fell into a drunken stupor (= sleep).

And now the other would be point:

—“Mixed words?” She means “said contradictory things.”

Here's the sentence again:

From across the room, a very drunken Judge said mixed words to Kavanaugh ranging from "go for it" to "stop".

She's interpreting "mixed words" to mean "contradictory" but it could just as easily be interpreted as "a mixture of words" which fits better in the context.

There you go. What does any of this have to do with anything anyway? Whether she typed the letter herself, dictated it verbatim or allowed somebody to compose it for her based on her input is of no real importance when considering the validity of her allegation.

Regardless of how you spin it that isn't the vocabulary, grammer or sentence structure of a highly educated person.
