So if someone had an unsworn brief filed and then said they refused to say or do anything else past that point you would scratch your head and find that suspect right?

Who is doing that?

She did witness plenty. Kavanaugh is not in the clear based on Swetnik's statement. He may not be accused of rape, but it confirms the accusations of assault. And it confirms that he was not being honest when he said he always treated girls and women with dignity and respect.

Kavanaugh's dishonesty disqualifies him of the position to the Supreme Court.

First: this affidavit is not credible until it has been sworn to under oath or notarized. Funny, how you conveniently left that part out when you posted the "affidavit".

You called it an affidavit, I didn't. I called it a legal brief.

I have a case pending right now, where I have a 6o page unsworn brief filed in court. I swore it was true when I singed it, but I wasn't under oath. The next step is depositions, not a hearing.

Sookie, if you actually filed it with the clerk of the court...they date stamped and signed the receipt on your document. Yes, a brief is not a deposition. A real deposition will have a certified stamp placed upon it it ensuring that the notary made copies of your ID and verified that YOU actually signed the document!

OTHER girls, not her. So all these girls he molested and not one of them comes forward. Maybe he did it with permission. All it confirms is he did nothing to this woman and it's a smear campaign.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., who sits on the committee, said a lawyer for Ramirez told committee staff she would not speak to them about her allegation that Kavanaugh flashed his naked groin in her face during an alcohol-laden party their freshman year. Ramirez made the accusation in a blockbuster Sunday night New Yorker story.

“Our counsel repeatedly tried to reach him,” Kennedy said of Ramirez's lawyer. “They finally did reach him, and he said we are not issuing a statement. He said if you want our statement, read the New Yorker.”

Ramirez is doing that.

It confirms that she is a witness to assault.

It confirms nothing. It alleges she was. How in the world do you think this confirms anything? Who did he assault?

Wrong.

Attorneys say Boulder’s Deborah Ramirez willing to testify about Kavanaugh allegations, ask Republicans to speak to them www.denverpost.com...

She's a witness. You can believe her or not, but she is, by definition, a witness to alleged assault.

Kavanaugh is cleared because she said she never saw him rape anyone.

She didn't say that. She didn't say he did rape her or anyone else, but she didn't he didn't either.

This may be one of the single most ridicukoius things I have ever read.

I havent said you didnt rape anyone either.

So I guess that means we need an investigation

BTW, still havent answered, do you disrespect women?

Actually it doesnt. There was never a police report or anything that she can confirm. It's just a story.

That doesn't mean that she isn't a witness to the character of Brett Kavanaugh, that should be heard at his confirmation hearing.

Her knowledge of Kavanaugh's character is just as important as the woman that he didn't insult or assault, who signed the letter supporting Kavanaugh's character.

False. She CLAIMS to be a witness. You can not be a witness to an event that never occurred. Am I a witness to that woman you raped 15 years ago?

I agree. Let her prove that she frequently partied with Kavanaugh and let her testify who he did these things to and give her a chance to show this is more than just her making something up.

I am a woman. As a woman, I demand respect. If I don't get it, the men who dissed me, or any other another woman, hear about it.

She has no knowledge of his character. She doesnt even know him other than her claims of seeing him at parties....

What she should be doing is filing a report, but she cant do that because her story is a lie and reports and investigations require someone to make a statement under oath.

It is so sad people that believe her dont understand this. They keep acting like the GOP is holding up some massive investigation that needs to happen. All these accusers have to do is file a report...literally just go in and under oath file a report. They could do it with police or FBI....doesnt matter.

So why dont they?

I think you mean, "Let her testify, and let the Committee question her as much as they feel it necessary."

Get off of me!

This doesn't have anything to do with me. Kavanaugh announced 27 times on Fox News that he ALWAYS treated women with respect and dignity. According to several eye witnesses, and his yearbook, that's a misrepresentation at best, a lie at worst.
