Democrats and the MSM are so focused on protecting Rosenstein, that they're overlooking something HUGE regarding the NYTimes revelations.

McCabes memos were obtained first by BOB MUELLER. This means Bob Mueller is investigating Obama's potential Spygate crimes against Candidate/President Trump.

Bob Mueller's office "leaked" the Rod Rosenstein section(s) of these memos to the New York Times this week, which provides President Trump with an additional reason for firing Rosenstein.

But more importantly, learning of the "Rosenstein coupe" attempt is probably the trigger that causes Jeff Sessions un-recuse himself. (Reportedly, Sessions is very upset/angry at Rosenstein tonight.) Jeff Sessions then fires Rosenstein.

Just not sure that Mueller, a long time friend of Comey and Rosenstein is doing anything other than acting as a shield for the deep state. The SC is a very large pit in which to bury some scandals and construct other scandals.

Fair point... last night I listened to the NYT reporter interviewed, after it was suggested Rosenstein was "joking". He said in no uncertain terms, that he was not joking.

You have to add context to this though. The NYT, Schumer and the "resist" folks are all reading this story as a triumph for the resistance... that "...even Rod Rosenstein wants to remove the big orange meanie from office."

They think that of course, because they have relegated SpyGate and it's peripheral crimes as "partisan noise".

Partisan noise doesn't trigger multiple Inspector General reports, the firing of the number 2 at FBI and his referral for criminal prosecution, and firing, demotion, or "cooperating witness" status of over a dozen co-conspirators, not to mention the assignment of a prosecutor and empaneling of a Grand Jury.

It really doesn't matter whether THIS story about Rosenstein is true or not. He's toast... and eventually, he will be fortunate to escape jail.
